Jared, If you honestly think Tik Tok is any worse than the Meta social media platforms when it come to spreading misinformation & spying on people you need to dig a little deeper mate. It's what they are fundamentally designed to do.

If TikTok ban can be justified by the fact China bans Facebook, then the Facebook ban in China can also be justified by the fact the US bans TikTok. To be fair the US government should simply ban TikTok without giving it option to sell in 6 months, because China did not ask Facebook to sell itself to a Chinese company.
