  1. TL;DR: Chat thinks a Direct sucks cuz they specifically didn't get what they wanted.

See, the thing about Directs, especially the Partner/Indie ones like this, is that while there's always gonna be a few massive franchises that everyone will be excited about no matter what, most of the announcements will always be niche stuff.

Sure, SOME of these CAN be objectively bad, but most of the time, since you're already going into a Direct expecting certain things, THAT'S what'll end up affecting your opinion on the Direct overall. Not the actual quality of the games, but the amount of game announcements that you specifically wanted.

And not even considering this, we need to keep in mind that every game franchise probably has a fanbase, no matter how quiet or small it is.

Chat didn't really seem to understand this, calling the Direct bad just because nothing interested them in particular. Sure, some people, like me, were joking about being butthurt over not getting a massive announcement like Deltarune (which I already knew was super far-fetched anyways,) but I could definitely tell there was a concerning amount of people GENUINELY upset and not being too respectful.

This doesn't really matter much in the endgame. I just wanted to say this out loud in some way. Who knows? Maybe I'm somehow in the wrong, but I just found it way too annoying to ignore.
