this video really surprised me with some of the lesser known Nintendo DS games
nobody talks about these games because they're bad.

Pokémon Dash features Pikachu's animation and model ported exactly over from Pokémon channel. I obviously recognized it on an instant, seeing pikachu's top-down view dash because I played Channel religiously as a kid.
I feel it's a crime to have a Pokémon racing game with all the cute details – like the hot air balloons, the movement, the neat selection of Pokémon in there – but then only letting you play as Pikachu. As a kid I tried a while to unlock the other Pokémon, but alas… 🙁 No Magnayen runner for me
I really feel like no one ever talks about Yoshi's Island DS, & Kirby Squeak Squad. Those are my two favorite DS games, & they're always the first games that come to my mind whenever I think of the Nintendo DS. Especially Yoshi's Island.

I'd love to see someone talk about Pokֻèmon Ranger. Not the sequel games, but the first entry. It was one of my favourite games as a kid. The music is AMAZING. The gameplay kinda SUCKS. You gotta check it out!
I understand that TOSE doesn't really like to be known as a studio that makes original games, but every one of their games that I've played (they also developed The Legendary Starfy and most of the Dragon Quest Monsters series) is an absolute delight and for a studio that typically concerns itself with technical support for other developers, they could do so, so much more.

If “nobody” talks about Super Princess Peach, explain the 1.7 Million Copies! Gee, I wonder if the 1.5 Million Copies for Mario Hoops 3 on 3 is a lie. Oh yeah, why would I forget 3.36 Million copies in Yoshi’s Island DS? “Nobody talks about it” is a lie, bud! If no one talked about it, the sales would fail.
I found my sisters old blue DS Phat buried in her closet along with her old cartridges of Mario Hoops, Super Princess Peach, and Yoshi's Island DS almost two months ago. Surprisingly, we actually still have the original cases for those games today and I was able to put those cartridges back in their respective cases. We actually ordered a new Mario Hoops cartridge before that to replace that one but then I found her old cartridge. I've also been playing Mario Hoops and Peach for myself lately and they've been very nice so far. ❤

1:52 likey because it played the Mario formula too safely even if it was pretty good. Comparing that to Princess Peach Showtime might give a lot of high and low expectations. So it was best for Nintendo to Distance themselves from that title.
