  1. Thank you but ginger tea really upsets my Stomach but going to try other things you suggested for my horse that tore a back ligament befor i have to put her down vet only prescibe bute and antibiotics but i quit the antibiotics and bute as she was so tired of being force fed and I don't blame her but also the pain hate seeing her in

  2. Whey protein like the bodybuilders take — it really helped bone growth for me, when I had a compound break of my arm. They did a study later that showed it helped. I was middle-aged and the bone doctor was worried it wouldn't heal, but instead I healed quicker!

That said, I bet that collarbone is worse pain and trouble than I had, so I hope you heal soon.

  3. Thank you. I got my dog as a rescue. She's doing good but for about a week now. At night she's jumping on me along with biting and scratching me. I can't tell if she's playing or what.

  4. I giggle at the suggestion of natural anti-inflammatories to replace NSAIDs aka Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. Acute inflammation vs chronic inflammation wasn't even brought up as a consideration here. I think a LOT more discussion and informing needs to happen to be able to choose the right treatment "natural" or otherwise. PLEASE talk to your vet/doc about SPECIFIC conditions your pet or you have and ask why one treatment would be better than another for that specific condition. Arthritis is not going to be treated the same as a broken bone.

  5. This was talked about years ago – I read in my father's pharmaceutical journal (he was a GP and pharmacist in the UK) – that NSAID's delayed healing in bone fractures in humans- now Dad has been dead 12 years – and so this information has been around a long time. He didn' like them anyway – and rarely recommended them. There are far better natural alternatives.

  6. 7. Do you know if CBD is ok alongside pancreatic enymes? Ive been told to gove CBD 3 hours from any suppliments and I cant do this with giving 5 meals a day

  8. Curcumin WORKS!!! I've learned I've got two levels of pain — skin level and deeper levels in my hands, fingers and knees. Stinging Nettle works on skin level but the deeper pain remains. Curcumin gets at both. And by the way, forget about that stuff "aspercream". It's a nightmare. I learned about the stinging nettle when I ran out of the curcumin I ordered from Dr Jones. I was "testing" everything around here and bingo — stinging nettle got the surface pain but not the deep pain. As I said, that curcumin works and works VERY WELL.

  9. You are so right about anti-inflammatories! Several years ago I was prescribed Meloxicam for trauma-induced osteoarthritis after a car accident. I didn't figure it out until later, but after a few months my legs just gave out. The connective tissues seemed to go splat. I could barely drag myself around the block anymore, whereas before that I was walking three miles a day. My legs felt like hot, heavy rubber. My pants even fit differently. Anyway, six weeks ago, I had shoulder replacement surgery, and I only took Celebrex three times. It really helped the pain in the first days, but I knew I'd heal better if I didn't take it very often. The doctor can't believe how well the wound and the bones have healed. I'm so grateful I've never given any anti-inflammatories to my senior dog. Hemp treats and CBD oil seem to help him.

  10. I am so glad you posted this!! I had a 3 level anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion and can't take nsaids just like you've explained. I've been desperate for safe and effective alternatives for pain.

  11. Can you talk about Thuja for vaccinosis with pets? I just learned about this after hearing a vet in Switzerland is using this with great success. Upon doing some research I found medical journal entries dating back in the 1880’s all the way up to recent years. Yet it’s not talked about at all. Wishing you rapid healing Dr. Jones❤
