I love the push they are doing, but it does raise questions about how they got here.
While Nvidia's AI development is impressive, society have to be careful to allow government force a particular market segment on to the public without it being the market desire through organic growths! One example would be AI drivereless cars. Once this gets to be safe for real world applications, governments may outlaw human drivers completely! And that would not be a good thing!!!
the human brain is estimated to do one exaFlop calculations, so if we can get computers up to the same speed, or even faster and better, we may be able to emulate consciousness without having to tune down the emulation speed (basically emulating a human consciousness in real time)
