Hey Pat, I'm looking for a game that had little animal shaped space vehicle sprites. One was a dolphin but it wasn't echo. One of the vehicles could have been a narwhale but it flew in space, could've been a Capricorn. Anyway, at the end of the levels you talked to a god statue. I think it was NES.

I would only consider A.I stealing if Artists who learned art from looking at other art or went to school to learn art would also be considered stealing. You're not a real artist if you draw in a medium created by someone else, you're using them as reference. It's practically theft. Though I don't think the art world is ready for that conversation yet.

Crazy that I’m currently listening to TWO Ian podcasts and only ONE Pat podcast because I can’t stand that other dude on Not So Common. Maybe he’s a fine lad outside of the podcast but he just rubs me the wrong way. However, I LOVE John on Extra Napkins. John knows A LOT but he’s not a know-it-all.

I hate that there are NWC carts which have been slabbed. It means that they can never be played again unless you smash open the plastic and release it from its prison.
I can understand doing it with sealed games or ones in perfect shape to protect the condition, but for loose carts that were chucked around and kept in random storage boxes for years etc makes little sense to me. Those acrylic cases that Pat has are all they ever need.
The shit condition of their retro games I'd Nintendo has been priced out of the market of their own IP by rich Americans. They don't wanna pay 50k to Americans for a nice copy of their boxed game to get their stuff back lol

A lot of mobile games make insane amounts of money compared to traditional console releases. Monopoly Go! makes hundreds of millions a year and seems to work on a similar model to the Olympics game. In all likelihood, the accountants at the IOC looked at the figures and couldn't give a crap if the game was any good or if it featured Mario and Sonic.
Time to sell those carts Pat.

Get yourself to a Whataburger if you’ve never been, they have an amazing burger with hatch chilis. The chain has been kind of my new jam since moving to Phoenix two years ago, we didn’t have it in Yuma or western Nevada.
The museum looks amazing. If they’re smart, they’ll open another one in Redmond. People have already been showing up there for years, hoping for a tour and having to settle for a photo op.
