Next step is get it hooked up to an Altair 8800.
I've got an idea … suppose you had two of these, both hooked up to the same computer. #1 is the interactive I/O teletype. #2 is ouput-only for clean printing of documents. When you're ready to print a formatted document on #2, the #1 teletype can pause and prompt you to change paper, etc. You could even prompt the user to change out the type balls for header fonts, etc. It's too bad that old typewriters don't have <>[]{} brackets.
