  1. So regarding no gold/art rare versions of the Lost Box staples, I think that kinda was taken care of with the galaxy holo versions of Mirage Gate, Cramorant, etc. in Prize Pack Series 3. It's definitely an interesting approach to have players have to earn/seek out their "bling" at league instead of buying it off a shelf. As somebody who doesn't play Lost Box, when I pull a Lost Box staple holo out of my prize pack that's prime trading fodder haha.

  2. I'm late but do yall see the Jap shiny Pika going for $100+? Ridiculous considering the english will be $10-20 after a month of release imo. Maybe the Jap shiny Pika will correct itself after awhile.

  3. Pokemon eras never reprint cards in past eras lol scarlet violet is not sword and shield just as sword and shield isn't sun and moon. Best you can hope for for old blocks of sets would be promos. This set is essentially the same as shining fates but personally a lot better as it at least has the chase shiny SAR's and a lot of old baby shiny pokemon. I wouldn't appreciated them to have a shiny set at the end of the block so you could include even balance of different generation of ex chases as it is its heavy paldean and kanto reprints focus. The idea to reprint old era cards just doesnt make sense tho and they've never done it, tournament legal cards are still cheap to pickup and paldean fates unlike the japanese counterpart wont even have reprints of any kind besides the shiny cards. The point of this set in the west is purely collectors. We dont need reprint sets here

  4. I feel like they didn't want to risk what happened with VMax Climax. They gave a lot of older Pokemon art rares but didn't change the regulation letters on them, so when we got them in English they weren't standard legal for long. (Thinking specifically of Crobat V with Silver CSR) They could have done an art rare or shiny of something like Cram, but they wouldn't have changed the regulation mark because they have no intention of extending Lost Zone mechanics another year yet. All of the shinies in Paldean Fates will be standard legal for 2 years.

  5. The overall design style for this entire set is too ‘cutesy’ for me. I know Pokémon has always tried to have a balance of cool and cute. But the ratio has been way too far off for me to want to collect any of this. Why do nearly ALL the corners in the designs have to be rounded off? Lame

  6. The dark gold cards could have worked well if they actually put some pokemons on it that people had any interest in. imo should have had more popular pokemons on them for when they try to implement it, overall not super impressed by the set overall. but then again that has kinda been the same theme for me in all of the pokemon sets this era.
