I think that melting the snow on the slope will just make an ice rink at the bottom in front of your garage.
Just use some sand for your driveway. Simple, cheap and eco

man that is as bad as Alberta with the windshields lol – I'm on my third Tesla windshield in 2 years ….
Definitely get the VW e-Up over the Kia, simply because CCS2 > Chademo (even if it charges like Frankenstein Leaf). But the fact that this thing charges so flat even at higher SoC makes this a no-brainer.

either crushed stone or sand should help with the driveway and you'll save a lot of money. Stones are also easy to collect back after the winter.
If you are ever stuck like that in a front wheel car, an easy option is to get someone to sit on the bonnet, the added weight will do the trick

I don´t understand the issue with the ID3. Since the MEB has no Onepadledriving, it gently starts to move forward, if you only releases the brakes. If it needs more power it increases the power very slowly. Marcus gave to much power. Usually it is not possible to get stuck with the ID3 on such hill.

I have the equivalent seat mii electric, there is nothing better for the class, price. range, BTW Bjorn could have used the eco and eco plus modes to eek out more range. Managed to get 194 from mine
