It's like a sanity check. PlayStation starts up the first thing it does is generate 2D graphics, scale them, and then generate 3D graphics.

You can say it's a work of art. It's like a colored snake formed a PS logo in full rendered 3D model (3D polygonal). When i was a little, i never heard of the first playstation until i get in PS3. When I see the startup, it scares me. Now, I conquered this fear and this is like… For the ones who are PS1 enjoyer. A good startup for the beginning of the PlayStation.

Another fun fact, the Playstation logo and the license text is from the game and not the console. In fact, the license text is different based on region and some homebrew games and pirate release groups would change that text. The Logo would also be changed by some pirate release groups as well.
