  1. His listed height has probably been his barefoot height. If Purdue chooses to list him in shoes, 7'4" isn't a stretch. Realistically, Edey should be listed at 7'5" in the NBA since they lost players in shoes. No way his shoes are only giving him ..25".

  2. Team USA is now, probably following the NBA model of listing players' height without shoes. This has been the case for a few years now.

If Purdue is now listing him as 7'4", perhaps, they are going by the old standard of listing the actual height players have with shoes on while playing on the court; instead, as if the sport they're playing is beach volleyball and barefoot height is more relevant to the actual sport involved.

  3. unfortunately for jacobsen he came into the big ten when there seems to be a great migration of 7'0+ big men who are all starting quality or better. not saying he still cant be successful. But the matchups look way less favorable than Edey had last year. it will be interesting to see how he matches up

  4. I feel like Purdue does lie about the short guards height (Carsen Edwards and Braden Smith). Don’t for a second believe these two are over 6’ tall. However, they seem to list their giants accurately. Edey was listed at 7’4 and measured 7’3.75 at the combine without shoes and 7’5 with shoes.
