i think the wrong way..high pressure should be in chamber..

You are supposed to do a vacuum test where you pull a vacuum from the port and see if the valve leaks down at all. The test you are doing is inconclusive because using an air compressor there is the possibility of you pushing the valve open causing it to leak slightly by pressurizing the port volume to exceed the strength of the valve spring. Every valve can leak and cause bubbles if you pressurize the port enough with compressed air? If you have the air regulated to like 5-10psi and it bubbles then yeah the valve isn’t sealing and this could be a quick redneck test but the correct way to test valves is with a vacuum gauge.

I’m pretty sure he’s attempting to test the amount of bubbling to see which one is worse big bubbles mean with a little bit of resistance the seals made bigger/more bubble

You should be holding the gun away from the port with low pressure in tested fresh valves and seat this way and they will do the same
Just some carbon build up on the valves. People who saying it’s the wrong way never built a motor by hand without a machine shop
