do the motherboard, heatsink need to be taken out in order to clean the fans? cant we do it without taking them out?

I have this Victus Laptop and one of the fans is making noise already in less than a year of ownership. The laptop is still covered by warranty, but I do not want to lose any of my data. Does HP do a fan replacement under warranty or do I have to do it myself? I noticed the fans don't turn off when the computer is in sleep mode.
