“Time Rift Arcade”
It isn’t always the old machines that break. In this episode we repair a modern 40 inch arcade LCD, but all isn’t as it seems at first.

We repaired a busted backlight on a 42" Makvision Wei-Ya MT42W-267C3 from a Terminator Salvation arcade game. Be sure to like and subscribe (this is the Time Rift Channel, not The 8-Bit Guy's main channel).
4:23 Hi Leslie! 😉 Hoping I can drop by to visit the arcade sometime this summer.
My only complaint with these videos is that they are too short!
THE GEEK PUB IS ALIVE!
The 8-bit brother reunited! Love it – just subbed!!!
This was cool! I've never seen an LCD get repaired before so this was very educational! Good work for sure!
My spouse worked for Chuck E Cheese for half a decade. I showed her the video and the comment about techs breaking things. She explained that techs that repair these things normally cover multiple stores and might not even specialize in electronics repair. Her store had a great technician that not only repaired issues with arcade and redemption games, but even did minor repairs to the old animatronics.
My wife says that even before the pandemic they began paying techs so little that experienced and talented ones were becoming rare. You might end up with a tech that has an information systems degree or just took some intro to computing courses at the community college.
If you pay peanuts, you get elephants.
00:50 – Whoooooaaaaa pardner. Stop the presses! Forget this monitor repair. I am eager to know more about this arcade crash cart!
Awesome stuff!
The can-do attitude, where there's a solution to everything, including printing parts is impressive
Great stuff! Looking forward to more. Very cool.
Loved the video! Would definitely be interested in more of these.
Yes, more 8bit guy stuff!
