“Tring Shoe Repairs”
It’s Christmas day and we have an amazing job to do. These Lucchese snake skin boots are in for a full shoe repair. I love working on exotic leathers and cowboy boots so this is right up my street as a cobbler. #Lucchese #cowboyboots #exotic #shoes

I'm new to snake skin boots. How did these last so long without a scale popping off? More importantly, how is he able to bend and almost crease the scales while working with the sole and not damage the scales?
Seems like those boots only really needed a good cleaning and shine.
Found Dan at 2 am while procrastinating researching for my thesis. No clue how the algorithm got me here but βletβs get stickyβ rings deep when you heard it a bunch while reading complex international relations theory.
Is it possible to widen a boot a bit when doing a resole?
Beautiful workπ
Been a long time follower and love cobbler videos. Iβm from the U.S. and just reached out to my local cobbler to see if he needed any help and wouldnβt ya know it I meet with him Wednesday. I get a chance to see it up close and hopefully get to put it into practice! Thanks for the introduction to something I didnβt know I would love so much!!
Love the content! Have you ever thought about making a video designing and making your own pair of shoes?
Merry Christmas Dan.
Hi Dan, Daniel Hibbert Lawn Expert here, thanks for all the vids, i never knew there was so much to it. I wanted to ask you if you donβt mind, do you wear ear defenders when using your sanding machines? If not itβs worth thinking about. As you only get one set of ears and that machine is very loud. I Hope for more content from you very soon as running out of ones to watch.
Hi Dan, Merry Christmas to you and yours. Have you tried any of the Knees Over Toes Guy protocols for your shoulder?
Mate you're channel is brilliant well done. Just throwing it out there, how come you don't do boot and shoe reviews? Look at channels like rose anvil and how much success they have, you pretty much take it down to the bones! No ones reviewing british shoes. It would give your channel so much more variety. You're favourite shoes, top 10 videos, comparison videos and you could fix problems you see in certain shoes and sell them. I think you'd smash it! But what do I know it's just an idea ππ€·π»ββοΈ keep up the good work mate ππ»
is it possible to add reddish colour to black leather ??
Well I know where to bring my boots now? You not too far away from me? I have snake x 2, python, caiman, croc, and shark. I kind of collect them. I am in the business, trying to save the world from rubbish footwear ha ha. You made a really good job of those, very impressed, a new lease of life. I appreciate the way you tried to re sew the welt because re sewing with new holes does limit the life time of the welt. I am pretty sure we will meet. I have a pair on their third soles. I have some with wood nails? How do you feel about that?
Deft touch
Every time he says jerk of stripper I canβt help but think that name wasnβt a mistake.
would you ever put brass tips on the end of the boots? I love the look of the sole, well done as alwaysπ
Great job
This is why you have to love this guy, the subtle humour at 1:55 when he very deliberately drops that third nail on the floor⦠(a cheeky nod to those commenters when the channel was new that complained that Dan shouldnt drop the nails on the floor!)
Merry Christmas from Sweden!
Do you disinfect the inside before reaching into the shoe or boot? Seems like bare hands is a risk of picking up fungal infection or something else nasty
Beautiful job Dan
What a nice episode, cowboy boots, axe sharpening and a cork paste all in one vid ! It also explains how the heels on the boots stay on despite their sloped profile and stacked construction.
Great looking leather apron. I've got a few pair of snakes, really love them.
I have no interest in shoe repair, but found this site by accident, and have watched many of your Vids
Dan, you are a good man, and have created a great empire with these vids, you explain well, and all with a bit of humour
keep up the great work
Incredible what you do. Regards from Spain.
π
Hi from Australia.. Thanks for all the video's made this year. You come across as someone who really enjoys his job.
Also… May be living under a rock and missed it but who is with you recording some of the shots or are you just that good π
They look weird to me with such a high heal and dress shoe sole. The "swoop" (if you will) and angle of the sole is triggering me something awful for some reason.
But I'm American and grew up in boot culture for lack of a better term. Maybe I'm just being a weird boot purist. I'm sure the customer will love them.

Merry Christmas Dan!
I donβt have Facebook or Instagram or any social media apart from YouTube.
How much would it be for me to send in some military shoes for iron work? Horseshoe and LuLu toe plates?
Cheers!
Snake …lets do slug or worm shoes
Humans taste in shoes is sometimes grotesque when it comes to murdered creatures
We have evolved into odd extensions of our ape ancestors..?
Look where pride and ego took us
Wow, this is superb work on those beautiful cowboy boots. Great job Dan!!! π€π½π₯
Great video, as usual! π What is this black rubber "insole" ?
How do you know when to cut the old nails, pull out the old nails, and hammer the old nails?
The heel shape was originally "Cuban" .. NOW looks "logger" style…NOT as nice or appropriate…just an opinion…they are Western boots..?? Right..??
Most nicer cowboy boots use lemonwood pegs on the arch, rather than nails. Do you ever use lemonwood?
I hope you had a Happy Christmas, Dan.
Comment for the algorithm

Encourage you to wear gloves and put in a fume extractor hood when youβre using glues and solvents.
Awesome work!
Merry Christmas.
What kind of maintenance cream or cleaner would you recommend for exotic anteater boots?
Thanks!
Good short and sweet ad read
Thanks for the Christmas video.
