  1. It is actually quite common to find master systems with the protective film on, I never removed it on my childhood one either, think it was just a think people didn't do/forgot to do, + it was quite hard to remove even when it was new.

  2. "i really enjoy making these videos and i hope you enjoy them too"

any and all of them the production quality is through the roof, console mods have no reason to be so well represented lol

    but please keep doing it

  3. I would try some kind of protective lacquer to mask the remaining scratches. Not that I now for a fact that it works or ever tried it….but just an idea. Or maybe for that red plastic part, an iPad screen protective foil cut to dimension…OK, I'll shut up now.

  4. Q, why did you not do a usb c mod? it would of been a lot more power efficient and you could of also shown this off as a sort of tutorial. Can understand it costs more to do though.

  5. What ultrasonic cleaner are you using and where can i find it? The amazon link just brings me to a conglomerate of ultrasonic cleaners which none of them are the Crest Ulrasonics Powersonic. Thx Tito, love your videos and keep up the hard work on your videos as they are like my go to chill/watch while also learning so much

  6. Your channel is the only subscription on YouTube that I actively check for new videos. It's my favorite channel and as much as I love your videos this one is my favorite so far l. Thanks so much for taking the time to do these they're fantastic quality

  7. Great video like always, just like the solder joints at the power port, I’ve run into a few bad controller ports with broken solder joints. When I run into a master system, I reflow those joints just to be on the safe side. I would definitely enjoy more of these type videos.

  8. Great video as always but that's not a protective film per say. Old decal/stickers have a protective layer that's not supposed to come off. What happens is over time it gets cloudy and starts to de-laminate. Nice thing is you can remove it and it looks brand new!

  9. Nice to see a Master System come back from what might have ended up in a dump somewhere. Nice work.

I was one, who had a NES with a Master System sitting right next to it when they were current, I enjoyed the Master System as much as I did the NES. And Phantasy Star is easy one of the best 8-bit games ever made. Also, one of my top 5 favorite games of all time. I even have the "Sega Help sheet" for it, when you could call Sega when you had a problem in a game, and they would mail you a walkthrough. I do re-play it ever 3-4 years. There is a retranslation to the game but, you need a rom cart to play the patched rom, it is impressive to see the text changes in the game.

If you want to change it up a little, they did release a sort of remaster of it, in Japan only for the PS2 (Sega Ages). There is an English translation that was done pretty well. It's impressive to see the change and a worthy play if you're a fan.

I love seeing retro consoles given a new life. They can last 100's of years if taken care of.
