the "K" and "L" keycaps are in the other one´s place at the end? 😅
Nice work as always. Love the attention to detail.
The goat is back
My school used those exact keyboards in several classrooms this was back in 2011
I love how almost all older items have more room under the hood. It's like the engineers knew there might be a need for that.
i think lexmark made those at that time…..mine is a gray label from july of 1988 and my cord isnt bad at all nor is anything else.
Crappy solder🤮
Get some good 60/40 or 63/37 from kester

undestructible keyboards !!!!! Impossible to find out now….

Great work compliments.
Imagine walking into an office where everyone was hammering away on these keyboard…noise pollution…lol
Always. Getting. Better. : )
You should have used a USB-B Connector in the Keyboard.
Hello
Oh nostalgia hit hard with this one! I remember my first steps on a computer with edutainment games for toddlers, with this exact keyboard!
This is a late Model M, when IBM had already sold the keyboard manufacturing plants to Lexmark, as we can clearly see on the label. The older ones, made by IBM itself, are considered better by collectors (I myself have one Lexmark Model M). Also, there are a number of open source PCBs that add USB support for the Model M that are a drop-in replacement.

Please don't "modify" classic keyboards for usb. Just us an adapter. You're destroying something vintage that is desirable.
The cord coiling was intriguing. 🙂
Yes=)
Made in USA … wow! I'd love to see more of that in today's world.
good job
Pretty cool. I'm not a big fan of old keyboards but had good moments in my memory you brought back with this restoration. Thank you and congratulation!
That is a very beautiful MDA height mechanical keyboard. Satisfying to see it being restored!

Wait, this is the rubber dome version. Literal e-waste.
this is like pron but better
Attempting to retro rite PBT keycaps is a choice. A pointless one.

The Lexmark made ones are not that sought after
