Do you use fabric softener? That'll cause a nasty grease-like build up on surfaces of washing machines. I know some people suggest using a cup of white vinegar instead for the same effect without the scummy buildup.
Just recently upgraded from our 20 year old Maytag washer. It was so prone to failing drain pumps Amazon would let me know it was time for a new one every couple of years. 😂
Amazing analysis here! I’d alway just tip ours on its side and swap the pump through the bottom without removing any panels.
