  1. Sorin I take my hat off to you that was a brilliant piece of dexterity to join the ribbon cable to the screen, if i had that problem , would send it to you, on the video of your tools you had a problem with the soldering iron be cause of the earth you had a spark when working on equipment connected to the main , this can happen with mains power oscilloscope's, under my work bench I have a transformer ( similar to the one use on building sites ) different is mine is 230 to 230 , proper isolated transformer connected to row of the 13 amp socket on extension lead regards Jim

  4. LOL I can't believe you of all people wanted to buy a replacement tool because it was broken rather than just assuming you can fix it as we all know, Sorin can fix (nearly) everything!! Car Boot Sales are brilliant by the way 🙂

  5. I'd be very tempted to say the damage was caused by the owner or previous owner. Laptops like this don't get broken ribbon cables by chance and they don't get water damage by chance either. This is user error!!

  6. Amazing job Master!!! Such a proper calibrated job for a professional like you! ❤
Indeed very pleasent job for me if you had not to touch that expensive screen 😅
Also is nice to have a finally LONG VIDEOOOOOO 🎉

  7. I've just had a HP laptop in for repair with a similar type of screen and the unit is over £500 to replace. The screen breaks because of a weak hinge assembly on the left hand side and the manufacturer says this when I rang them but refuse to do anything on a £1000+ laptop. I told the customer I can replace the whole assembly but the cost is about £650-£700 and they refused, not that I blame them because the cost is just too much. On your average laptop I can buy and replace a screen for about £100 but on laptops like the one I had in and this Samsung they make them almost unrepairable and you have to get the whole unit at a stupid price…..

  8. Bravo Sorin! A spectacular repair and a joy to behold! I salute your tenacity. I salute your ingenuity and I salute you! Thank you for sharing the pain and the pleasure!
