Love the LM pickup. Worth the repair time as I'm not sure anyone will ever make a TLR again. With modern parts and materisls, proven lenses and mulri-format spools, you could build the most travelable TLR ever made.

55mm on the K-bodies or spotmatics means that you can shoot with both eyes open.
When a camera store lists something as "as-is" or "inoperable", it doesn't necessarily mean that it's unrepairable. It just means that they couldn't make a profit after paying their tech, plus parts, plus overhead.
Btw, if I haven't thanked you for the T-70 prism tip, then a big thanks to you. I just picked one up for my K-1000 with the de-silvering issue.
