  1. Im no tech person, but with the percentage price difference, wouldn't you expect the same ratio in terms of better performance? Feels like an interesting comparison, but not like for like.

  2. This honestly tracks pretty well with what I expected. What Qualcomm did is very impressive, but this is a first gen chip going up against a very mature and refined design, and Snapdragon chips have never quite managed to match Apple's silicon.
That's not to say the X Elite isn't incredible! It's just up against very stiff competition.

  3. I'm happy for this new ARM Windows laptop era. They seem great. That being said, no matter the price, no matter the benchmarks, I would never ever use Windows for work. Still use my Windows desktop for games and stable diffusion, but I don't see myself achieving a similarly smooth and enjoyable workflow outside of the Apple ecosystem. For now.

  4. Export and processing of data in Figma are performed on the server. When you export a design or data from Figma, the request is sent to Figma's servers where the necessary processing is carried out, and then the result is returned to the client. 😅

  5. With a $600 difference, Im taking the Surface all day. Nothing from the MBP screamed that much better in real world performance and the Surface even beat it in some areas.

  6. Please note that the existing softwares out there and the snapdragon drivers have not been optimized yet for the chip. Just wait until this is done by Broadcom.

  7. For me the worst downside of widows on arm will be the fragmentation, on apple its going to be full on arm, but not in windows, only in the ultrabooks and they are compatible gpus?, and the x86 its not going to die anytime soon, then has a compatibility layer for x86 for arm, but it has a compatibility layer for arm to x86? Its to many questions so for me its a no no..
