  1. I wouldn’t consider an OLED TV because of worries about screen burn in, I’ve been waiting for Mini-LED to get to this quality and as I don’t change TVs often I don’t think the price is bad considering I’ll be keeping it a long time. My current TV will be six years old in a few month, so will probably upgrade around that time.

  2. As for sound quality I got the S95D with Q-Symphony with a decent samsung soundbar I already had and the combination is really awsome.. Image is great, but upscaling low quality stuff is not as good as my old sony LED. Still good enough, but a slight step down.

  3. I wish that best buy and costco had the bravia 9 on display but they only had the bravia 7 on display. Costco does not even have the bravia 7 since they mostly have oled tvs. I'm mainly interested in the bravia 9 due to having 4,000 nits and that there are 4k movies mastered with 4,000 nits. I only buy and support the physical copies of the 4k, blu ray and dvd discs since they are superior in terms of audio and visual fidelity plus there is compression with streaming when there is no compression with the physical discs. All the data is on the discs including the extra features like the deleted scenes, movie theater and theatrical versions and no annoying ads to deal with like streaming services. The video compression on streaming services have to limit the bandwidth since 4k and blu ray uses way more data and bandwidth. Not everyone has enough reliable internet connection for using all the bandwidth with 4k since all the 4k bandwidth will use alot of data since there are internet service providers that limit the data cap or charge for more money once the consumers reach the data cap. It's why I prefer physical media since there are outages and with physical media, there is no outage to deal with and no subscription fees to deal with and annoying ads with physical media. With streaming, all the service providers have gotten greedier and wants more money even though they are already charging there customers for a subscription fee and even charge money to get rid of ads or have the least amount of ads once the consumers paid the service providers. It's like the streaming service providers have become snake oil sales man and want more money since they consider subscription fees not enough money and they want to nickel and dime customers as much as possible for more money once the customers already paid to use thereices. The customers are being treated like food at the buffet and it's like the customers are like the food and the service providers are like the plates at the buffet and they want to fill up there plates with as much food as possible but instead of food, it's like the customers money that are the substitute for food at the buffet. Unfortunately, all the service providers are that are nickel and diming there customers have been normalized since everyone is doing it.

  4. For the price really think it's not that good. Rather buy the TCL, basically the same image for 1/3 or 1/4 of the price… Imagine the soundbar you could buy with that.

  5. you will try to work with them on sound …. oh my man you dont know first thing about sound , in the textbook of Audio Engineers those that made your speakers anywhere in TV or standalone , in their book it says and i quote" Ideal sound source is a dot " end quote . Putting 10 speakers in a TV and make sound bounce off the wall , make the panel vibrate , is exactly the reason why you need Voice Zoom , stupid name , its called in engineering Intelligibility . Go buy 5inch Chinese Near Field Powered Studio Monitors , hell make them Bluetooth so they connect to TV wirelessly for 300$ , Buy any brand , or no brand as it uses Linkwitz Riley 4th order Electronic crossover , 4th order means cut off filter of 24-48dB , so that bass and midrange get sound up to 3khz and tweeter above 3khz , you must split that sound , cant send bass to tweeter it will ruin the sound , and when you cut sound in 2 way , the better the filter the better the sound , Electronic filter or Crossover is unparalleled and its cheaper then Passive one . Every driver has its own AMP , so 2 way speakers 4 amps , 2 power supplies .
Now put that to the sides of Bravia 9 , see if you need Voice zoom . Let me tell you , you wont need it . And since i see you have KEF speakers they also make Studio monitors and powered speakers , that are coaxial , coaxial meaning tweeter and bass are in the same axis , one inside the other . This is the best solution now you have ideal source , a dot and that gives best Stereo picture , unfortunate for Coaxial speakers Bass is vibrating the sound around HF driver , so you get AM modulation , Amplitude modulation on your HF . There is no ideal speaker like there is no ideal TV, but those KEFs if they have Electronic crossover , 4 AMPs and 2 power supply's are enough to show you what i mean .
There is no need for Voice Zoom everything is clear and crisp .
And of course the distance between you and the speaker has to be the distance between speakers them selves , in a triangle so to say . That is also a rule in audio engineering text book . So the size of room dictates the size of speaker if your room is 4m by 4m , you cant have bigger then 4inch bass driver , because in that size room , bass below 50hz will ring , and you will hear one note bass that will change volume as you move , you can move your head 10 inches and bass goes away .
So fallow these rules from the text book , equilateral triangle between 2 speakers and your head , if you want best Stereo Image get Coaxial speakers , get powered speakers with AMP for each driver , and with electronic crossover . Chose the size depending on your room size , if you have 8x8m room you can go for 8inch models , 4x4m 4 inch models . or Smaller . I roll with 3inch even tho my room is 4.4m . And the speakers are set as i said . Trust me i have surround sound . Stereo speaker can set properly make it so that you hear sound from behind . There is a test on You tube , try it . Even phones can do it . They do it by changing the phase of the sound , using sound physics where waves can cancel each other , so teh speaker sends a wave , and after some time another wave that compliments teh first wave at exact distance that is behind your head and there you go now sound due to multiplication is louder behind you then in front .
So trust if a sound bar can give you Surround sound , if a phone can make you hear things around your head , imagine what properly set Stereo Studio Monitors can do , you will hear more then you want to , usual complaint people hear voice so clear that its bothering them .
Exact opposite of the Bravia 9 sound system . You need to mute the voice , or in my case compress the Effects because they make sound for those stupid incapable TVs on DVD and BR and they make Effects and music much louder then voice . Trusting you have incapable speakers so they have to push it in order to amaze you .
This is bad , i worked as Mastering engineer and they tell us what to do , its a job , but ask me should it be done , NOOOO! But they do it anyway , and then make Stereo Masters as independent audio products so that you have to buy a Movie , and then buy Sound for it . Combine it to get best Audio Visuals . In other words take as much money from you as they can .
Sony is not in game of making good sound from a TV , how can they sell speakers then . Think about it , sound is so bad you need processor to amplify the voice , otherwise you cant hear what's being said . How bad is that .

  6. Oled like my ass. Try to see a medieval movie and wait till soldiers start running around or towards their opponents at night holding torches, or scenes with volcanos, eruptions and basically anything with dark background which includes fire and explosions especially and then tell me why would someone has to pay 3.000 dollars for this tv or any other mini qled or whatever. Nothing can beat an oled and nothing will ever be like an oled and people must stop throwing away their savings for something they'll eventually regret.

  7. Keeping an eye out for this one. Just not in my price range at the moment.

PS: If I could choose, I‘d take the blooming over the „stars switching on and off“ in the Star Wars credits issue you found. Just my personal preference…

  8. For me, the biggest non-picture feature more me is the HDMICEC. It can control my Panasonic Blu-ray player, my Apple TV 4K, and automatically changes to my XBOX series X when I turn it through my Onyko AVR. basically stopped me from wanting a universal remote anymore. RIP Logitech Harmony.
