  1. I remember waiting for my steam deck in the mail. I was so excited when I finally got it. This thing does everything I want and more. I sold my switch and emulated all my switch games on the deck. The only thing is no online but Nintendo online is trash.

  2. Very unfortunate to hear about the audio jack problem.
At the same time it's hard for me to care, I've only used headphones through my FiiO E-10K with the Steamdeck Dock because, let's face it, almost no audio jack is perfect.

  3. Can I use steam deck for making graphics like photoshop? I can only afford one, a normal laptop or a steam deck, and I'm a gamer as well. Is steam deck good as my main computer or it's just a gaming handheld?

  4. Stop with the fanboy reviews. The steam deck lacks in a lot of departments. You cant run most games on it. I dont see the point of this code and wasting my internet bandwidth

  5. lol there is no SteamDeck version of BatMan, you buy the PC version and dial down the settings.
Devs spend time and money to put a game on the Switch.
SteamDeck is just buying the already made PC version.
You are not going to the sotre or online and asking for a SteamDeck copy of any game.
    SteamDeck 1.6 million sales.
    Switch 133 million sales.
Many folks are going to buy multiple Lites, regular * OLEDs for self, friends or family members this xmas.
You can buy a copy of AnimalCrossing and a Lite for grandma.
You can't find a Deck in BestBuy or Target and get a SteamDeck, no one is buying grandma a SteamDeck at any point in time or in the future.
Niche system that is all it is, stop trying to make it more than what it is.
Naming your channel after a niche console is like me naming my channel after the Nokia NGage or all those channels that had the Google Stadia in their name, where are they now.
In 5 years this channel won't exist or will have a name change.

  6. Just love the steam deck. I been playing the newly fan translation of samurai showdown rpg on it among having thousands of emulated games stored on it and always adding more. Then being able to jist start up a pc game instantly is so much fun. With shit box being utterly pointless with 0 real exclusives and lying Ryan making the ps only one step ahead of being as pointless with eveery game going to pc over time its never been a better time going pc 100%. Well other than getting a Nintendo system but even the switch is emulated so.. 😆

  7. I started playing Mafia II on my OLED deck this week… And wow, I cannot believe it's able to do it to be honest. Especially after years of my mobile device being an Intel powered MacBook Pro.

  8. Re: Steam Link VR… I think it's more of a early access / beta test, so they can work out any kinks and have it perfected for when they release their own hardware. I don't think they're conceding the HMD space. My first thought when I saw it released on the Quest store was it's step 1 in rolling out the "Deckard."

I went from maybe giving in and upgrading to Quest 3, to thinking Valve's HMD announcement is probably coming soon-ish, so I'll see what they price it at. I have a Quest 2, but I hate being tied to Facebook, so if Valve's is at least somewhat competitively priced with the Quest 3, I would much rather go with it. I would love an Index, but 1) it's not natively wireless, and 2) it's 2-3x the cost of a Quest 2 or 3. Hard to justify that when VR isn't my only way of playing games.

It's like specialized controllers for certain games. Like I love racing games and having a wheel and pedals for them, but racing games aren't the only type of game I play, so I can't really justify a $1000+ Fanatec wheel set, when a ~$200-$250 Logitech one works just fine.

  9. SteamDeck can’t compete with any of the console makers until it gets exclusive first party games.

You’d think MMOs would be HUGE on SteamDeck, but here we sit in 2023 without them for the most part🤷🏾‍♂️

  10. I know you feeling regarding Meta, not a big fan of that company but the Quest 3 is a great device. I bought it just so I can play Dungeons of Eternity with my wife and we been having a blast. I also got Assassin's Creed Nexus VR which is another great game. Now with native steam VR support the Quest 3 has become an event better value. Highly recommended.

  11. interesting, i modded my oled before i even took it out of the box/case. moved over my 2TB drive and swapped out that ugly ass red power switch button for the black one. i'm wear of repair and getting a different unit back. i don't hear static on my KZ IEMs as of yet.

  12. Shit I hope I don't get audio jack hiss and dead pixel on my Steam deck oled. Where I am based it's not sold someone has to bring it to me from the USA… So RMA and service repairs are a not possible.

  13. Joined the Deck gang after the Oled version release managed to finally persuade me. It has been quite fun to use it while traveling around the town as well as weathering over the peak hours of high electricity prices without losing the chance to game. The best part hands down has been the improved screen that looks gorgeous and works flawlessly locked at 45 FPS to conserve some of that precious battery life. Deck seems to be the ultimate answer to the always growing Steam backlog and I can wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone interested as long as you're okay with a bit of tinkering and have adventurous spirit in order to unlock it's full potential.

  14. Can you run PlayStation Remote Play natively on the SteamDeck? ….. NOPE?! SteamDeck suck, and that crappy low res screen too, that OLED can NOT fix! Guess what can …. a Windows hand held, those are the real "swiss army knives"! Stop with the console worship!

  15. No issues with my 512 GB Steam Deck OLED. Headphone jack seems fine, the screen's fine, and it survived a 48-hour -50 -50 -50 undervolt stress test so I guess I got a golden chip too.

  16. Why are people comparing the Steam Deck, or any other handheld for that matter, to the Sony Portal? It's not the same thing. It's a portable monitor if anything, it's like the Logitech streaming device. The Portal is a joke. Coming from the same company that made the PSP, this is embarrassing.
