Hope you enjoy! This is the first build of Stormgate where it really feels like the factions are being filled out with some personality + plenty of quality of life and visibility upgrades. I've held off casting games until this Open Beta build because I'd rather show something that you guys can be a part of as well. Look forward to seeing you on the ladder tomorrow

Playing the beta made me miss Dawn of War even more.
I've been trying to get a handle on infernal since they're less just straight up Zerg than vanguard is Terran, but… their basic units are so trash against Vanguard basic units. Can't ever win a straight fight, or even a pretty favored fight, if they've got a half decent ball going. At least not without considerable support from weavers, which are slow as shit, helping me pick off one at a time. Magmodons are too slow, as shown in that first game. The artillery unit is great to have and a couple will greatly help you whittle down a ball, but you just don't have any good option for trapping them like a BW Queen, and they tend to just micro until they have an advantage or my slow ass casters are too far away. I've seen people say Infernal is OP so guess it's a skill issue, but once more factions come out I can't imagine continuing to play one with basic units this shit.
Demons are specially made so slow to endure?
The game looks uninspired and dull. In SC2 it really feels like epic battles between Humans and aliens with iconic characters. Stormgate looks like toy soldiers on a flat plane with pixar characters. Im so underwhelmed

Imma be real with you, I just cant bring myself to enjoy watching these cause it looks like a crapy mobile game.
I'm gonna be honest here, this game looks much worse than SC2. It's so boring, and too derivative of SC2. Zero Space looks much more interested imo.

so it really is terran and zerg again. was hoping for something different than the 'turtle race' and 'the skill ceiling race' again, even if their mechanics are the same
