  1. The displays in those big events like the Nintendo Live aren't always calibrated correctly, so that's probably why it didn't look so good then. The game looks so great on my monitor!

  2. I've always loved 3D Mario, but I haven't truly enjoyed a 2D Mario game since the GBA ports. I was hesitant to play Wonder because of how stale the NSMB games were. But after watching footage and playing the demo, I decided to get it. I am now almost completely done with the game and I have to say I absolutely love it.

  3. Idk man if you can say it beats super mario world. Thats a huge statement. World did so many innovative things with mario that we just take for granted these days as normal gameplay. You sure?

  4. Ive gotta say,.. I am just not getting what all these reviewers are saying. The game looks pretty, but there really isn't much else goong on outside of that for me.

It's just not my kinda platformer. I really havent played a 2D mario since World, but maybe I've just outgrowm Mario in this format. It's too easy, and honestly it feels like a cell phone game most of the time.

  5. Music wise, its revolutionary, we have moved on from bah bah bah bah, to dah dah dah dah. well done Nintendo……..you don't even need to market to your fanbase anymore, they just eat it up. masterclass in business.

  6. I've had the game 4 a day now.

It's a nice game, the details are good & polished. & it has some neat ideas.

But at the end of the day, it's otherwise the same old Mario idea with a new coat of paint.

The music is disappointing, though. It's nice but not as good as I was expecting. But it's serviceable.

Also, in a weird way, Bowser's being a castle gives a strange feeling of him not actually being present in the game. Which is a disappointing feeling, as I always look forward 2 seeing him.

Its a nice sidescroller & I'm glad I have it, it's just not a breakthrough gameplay-wise. The amazing visuals are there, but the idea engine is still the exact same.

    Odyssey remains Mario's masterpiece.😊

  7. It's exactly what I wanted. I love this game so far, we needed. something different. I love all the 2D Mario games. Even the one that came out on the Wii U/Switch. SMB3 and SMBW are my favorite. Wish Yoshi was involved where I can ride him. But defiantly a must buy.

  8. one world in and i've been blown away by every turn of every level so far… the attention to detail, the level design, the visuals, the backgrounds, the animations, the wonder effects, the soundtrack.. everything is on point, everything.. Wonder truly feels like the next evolution in 2D Mario that we've been waiting for for decades now, since Super Mario World…

  9. I think this is the best 2D Mario yet yeah. I have always considered Mario 3 and Mario World as a tossup for the best 2D Super Mario Bros games. But in the end, I have always kind of considered them subpar with Donkey Kong Country and Wario Land, as well as Yoshi's Island on SNES. And the reason why Wonder takes the whole cake is because it has "The Sauce" that those series often had that I felt were missing from most regular Mario titles. I like how they got rid of the time limit in favor of having bigger and better stuff to explore and what not.
