That disclosing on case exhaust or bearing?
Now that I've seen you split those cases I'm confident that tool could be fabricated great

Just pound a screwdriver in between. π j/k. Nice to see someone using an actual punch to punch with and only when it's proper to do so!
Great video on case splitting, problem analysis and what to do when things do not go quite right. Learned a lot and especially enjoy your sharing your analysis and thought process in real time. You also run into problems and are showing us how to deal with them!
You don t use a piece of cardboard to put the case bolts in as you re removing them ? You don t lay everything out in order as you re disassembling ? Just asking, not trying to pick apart a repair.

You know Dale itβs a great thing that you got them. Because if I had gotten them I would have to find more but you can fix them. Not fun but you can. At least you save another.

Those cases really put up a fight! You know yourself that if there is any doubt that you will do the repair to the sealing surface. That is one of the reasons that your videos are so appealing to watch, you do things the right way and show us how to do it as well! Keep up the great content!

Hi Dale have you looked into castable foam for cushions? (FlexFoam-iT), it seems to be next to impossible to get the foam to conform to the seat plate.

Hey Dale, I can see the crank is bothering you. I think it will be ok if you can't feel it with your fingernail. The seal shouldn't snag if there are no sharp edges. Cranks seem to be the things that cause us the most trouble with these old two strokes.

I wonder if crank bearing damage is all about fuel octane? Guys mix below minimum oil with fuel since oil lowers octane number or they add high octane alcohol to fuel, or both. High octane adds explosive force maybe outside the design parameter, But racing is racing, any advantage is worth having on the day.

I think it would be possible to save the crankshaft with a Speedy Sleeve from SKF.
I usually use them on bigger shafts, but there are several sizes. You can check it.
