This is the American M557, a High-Explosive (HE), centrifugally armed, Point-Detonating Super-Quick (PDSQ) Impact (IMP) or Delay (DLY) fired, projectile fuze.
The M557 is a selective Point-Detonating Super-Quick (PDSQ) impact or 0.05-second delay impact fuze designed for use with projectiles and mortars.
The M557 is one of the most widely used of all NATO fuzes, as it is used with ammunition fired from guns of virtually all standard calibers as well as with 4.2 in mortars.
Some Russian ammunition has been modified to accept the M557, in which role it is known as the AU-10.
The M557 is widely manufactured outside its home nation of the USA and is a NATO standard fuze.
The M557 fuze consists of the M48A3 fuze assembled with the M125A1 booster.
The fuze PD head assembly contains a firing pin held in position by a firing pin support which prevents initiation of Detonator M24 until impact.
Эх, "люди", тратят земные ресурсы на разрушение! Лучше бы создавали во благо земли технологии, для улучшения жизни, быта, комфорта всех людей и живых существ.
So I've always wondered what exactly happens to set off the explosive? Is there like a spring that gets depressed when it hits
Is there a way to buy these
I mean some of the things I e saw him use on this channel are definitely illegal but i say good for you sur! Keep it up because this should be what was/is taught in our science classes all over the world lol
Very high-tech looking 😮💪👍
Imagine North-Koreans making artillery shells… what can go wrong?
Excellent craftsmanship.
ASMR😌
It's crazy how that "thing" on the end tells the shell when to explode
So much engineering for a boom
I'm always blown away by how much precision machining goes into something expendable like a fuse.
Thank you. So are soldiers in the field needing to assemble the fuse to the round or are they shipped to the field ready to go?
