  1. Agree with everything you said. The problems are way overblown.. my Tesla is essentially perfect. Also agree they really should include the charge cord… For newbies, they might just assume the car comes with a cord… Very cheap move to remove it.

  2. Just subscribed to newsletter. I 100% agree with the charging cord. I know I use it when I go visit my mom in a city that does not have charging infrastructure. Even the 110V adds enough range to get back home if I am there a couple days.

  3. My delivery experience on my Certified Pre-owned Tesla was so sub-par, it would be generous to suggest I got customer "service".. Imagine showing up to take delivery, getting treated like an inconvenience and when you ask about the charge cable they say, "We don't include that with the car- you have to run over to Service to get that." Only to find out you're shelling out 250 bucks before you've even left the lot. Luckily, they didn't check my car thoroughly and the previous owner's connector was in the lower trunk, so I returned the one I had just purchased and got a 120v adapter just in case I ever need it. I was happy about spending $40 vs $250, but the fact that I had been treated the way I had, denied a testdrive, etc. etc. Trash experience. First time a car purchase actually had me feeling worse after taking delivery.

Buying my Tesla was like going to Starbucks- not quite getting the drink I paid for, having them misspell my name and then bitch slap me on my way out. Like yeah.. I'm gonna like the car. When it's good it's GOOD. But damn, when there is a problem.. Buyer's remorse could almost not be stronger..

  4. I picked up a MYP in August, and the dark silver paint has a bad "orange peel" that makes reflections appear ripply(?). The reflections in your red plaid are like a mirror. What's up with that? Does the S get better paint?

  5. Robert, I appreciate your enthusiasm and excellent work and have subscribed to your newsletter. Still awaiting my Cybertruck, and will be so happy to utilize my home solar energy to charge it. Of course it would be nice if Tesla were to include a charging cable with the vehicle, but is certainly not a deal breaker for me.

  6. I just took delivery of a Model Y. Pink dots on my driver rear door, steering wheel alignment issue, and rear driver side pillar and trunk jam area paint/sealer blemish. Everything will be covered through Tesla, but the eyesore with the side pillar/trunk jam paint. Tesla service center noted that it’s per Tesla standard so they will not fix the issue. I call it BS. It’s does not meet standard. Make the car 20k if your quality sucks that bad. Even cheap Honda civics have consistent quality.

  7. I’m indifferent on the charger. They make it very clear that it’s not included but let you order it on the same order as your new car. It’s the same thing as the model y tow hitch. Want it? Add it. If not then don’t.

Also plenty of people live in apartments and can’t charge at home anyway. Why should they have to pay for the home charger when they’re gonna be full time superchargers?

  8. Why a kid always creates trouble for you? Because they are spoiled, do they know the problem? They do, do they care, they do! Do they need to care? They don't, because at this point no matter what they do you always give thumpup

  9. Robert – love you channel – keep your support for us – yes – how cheap not to deliver with a charger – a must for the first period of ownership. Dayczer

  10. Another informative and well composed video. Congrats on the new Model X Plaid. It looks awesome. I notice on this video it appears as though you're wearing a smart ring. Can I ask which one you have and have you done a review on any of them? I highly respect your opinion on all things tech.

  11. I have a charger mounted in my garage, but I carry the portable charger with me. I've had a couple of occasions where electricity was available but no charger. I was able to charge with my portable. Neither time was a true emergency but it was convenient. Somewhere in the future chargers may be everywhere. As an early adopter to this technology, I think I need to be more self sufficient and carry a charger with me.

  12. I have owned my 2023 Model 3 for about one month now. Truly the best car experience thus far with few issues. I watched many of your videos prior to buying. Matter of fact my wife is now looking at the Model Y for herself. I appreciate your information and I subscribed to your newsletter. Thank you again for keeping us informed!!
