2 apple mottos to live by:
1) greed
2) elaborate scams painted as exclusivity
No accidentally unplugging it durning operation…. Granted there is a design flaw , we could implement a way to securely fasten this in place and when cable replacement or when some users feel the need to remove the cable the process could be easier ….
But that opens the door to apple now selling the battery pack and cable separately at a premium price

as a person who keeps dropping things if they made it a detachable cable i think it would probably not be good because it would just disconnect but this this is good it wont ever detach it would just keep dangling until i put it back into my pocket

there's a little pinhole next to the cable entrance to the battery pack, perhaps it's removable with a paperclip (like an iphone SIM tray) – or maybe it's just for service techs. either way, the cable has a separation around it so it definitely "comes apart" in some way…
This is to get people to look into apple content like the moding community is going to come up with stuff and it will get people to talk about apple its actually funny 😂
When the cable breaks you just buy a new one……."it's not about money it's about ascetic" that's what Apple would say looking like this 🤑

It’s about greed. They made the repair so expensive so people would purchase their add on AppleCare+.
Either way, they’re milking as much money out of their customers.
Because the cable is the most fragile part, so if the cable got damaged you have to buy a whole new battery. Also it prevents you from using it as a powerbank for other devices.
The 2nd gen or 3rd gen will be remove able

He literally dunked a prototype iPod into a fishtank, pointing out air bubbles coming out to prove to the engineers it wasn't engineered compact enough & could be smaller cause there was still room for air in it.

I can think of two main reasons why they did this number 1. Is so that people can't use just any old power bank number 2. It is so when they're shitty cables break you have to buy a whole new thing and you can't just replace the cable

Came back to this short after watching the MKBHD video on it and I even left a comment.
Other than the battery pack being expensive and not coming with the travel case I don’t see an issue, I am not defending Apple but I’m probably not buying one of these anyway but I do want to see a comparison between the Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest 3, Microsoft HoloLens 1 & 2 and the upcoming Samsung headset.
