  1. Bending the rules a little bit – Monster Hunter Rise should be on the list. It's not a first-party title, but it was made with the Switch in mind and was actually a timed exclusive for the system.

Astral Chain is another Switch exclusive that looks fantastic.

  2. What these developers have pulled off on the Switch is nothing short of remarkable. I cannot wait to see what they have in store for more powerful hardware.

  3. At 46:40 John mentions mid 00s PC games that had (or were driven) by physics interaction and further along Oliver cites Far Cry 2. But what other PC games from that era had this type of direction or experimentation?

  4. Just discovered you guys and i loooove these reviews from a technical standpoint and so well thought out plus the bits of info about the developers and game engines used. 10/10 reviews!!🙌🫶

  5. Do you think that Xenoblade 2 and 3 will look better on new Switch? I mean even without update the internal resolution shouldn't go so low on a better hardware resulting in a better image, right?

  6. How do you miss talking about king Gooigi?! The soft body physics, subsurface scattering, reflections and light refraction…I spent so much time just messing with him. He's a certifiable superstar and belongs in every future Mario Kart, Mario Party, sports games, and Smash itself

  7. Although not a first party game, I think that Astral Chain should be on this list as well because it's a beautiful game in my opinion and it doesn't get enough attention. 😊

  8. Luigis mansion 3 looks so good because they employed the sony tactic to make a game look good: small, very focused set pieces. Sony are masters at this. Focus all the power available on a smaller area… Sony seemingly created the term, set pieces, because of this.

  9. Playing Luigi’s Mansion 3 I got lost in the sauce with its presentation it makes me think it’s near Pixar quality but it’s a game. I can only wonder if a part 4 will be considered for the next Switch and what the developers can really accomplish, oh boy!!

  10. I would appreciate sth similar for third party titles for sure – also think that Kirby and the forgotten land surely needs a shoutout as I do consider it a gorgeous title for sure.

  11. How come Pokémon shield didn’t make the list? It has graphics and Pokémon. It’s also on the Nintendo Switch, so it SHOULD be there. That’s what I feel most comments look like here.
