There's something to be said for drunk performances. Look at Donald Pleasence. Though a couple of better films than this with Richard Burton are something interesting: The Medusa Touch and Absolution.
Hilarious film
This is probably the only film franchise I can think of where the third movie is the best of the bunch…and the fact that Scorsese thinks this film is better than the original is insane to me.
