Jason and Kyle from Rahal Ducati Cleveland fixed my dry clutch issue. Purchase your new or pre-owned Ducati from Rahal Ducati Cleveland and get it serviced there too!
The longevity of the clutch pack on these can be significantly improved if you know how to look after them properly.
9000 miles ib
I had to stop the video at 1:22 because I cant stand to watch the rest. First off, he should have known immediately its the fluid that needs replaced and the clutch simply needs to be bled. Theres no reason he needs to take the clutch apart unless its slipping, which it wasnt. It was not engaging, so its air in the clutch lines. So why is the clutch taken apart. He should have shown you how to bleed the lines and moved on. Theres absolutely NO ISSUES with the clutch itself at 4000 miles, you have air in your clutch line and it simply needs to be bled. End of story. Those techs are snowjobbing you. Everything they said is true to an extent, but NOT at 4000 miles. There is a ton of miles left on that clutch. Bleed the clutch at home and skip the visit to the dealer.
the FILTHY SREETZ
There’s problems with the dry-clutch just not many people talked about, and the reason why Ducati offers wet-clutch for the S model is for good reason.
Insane clean?
Clean up burs, get a file and clean up grooves in basket and your good for another 6k PROBLEM SOLVED! next world crisis…….lol
We both going to reach 6k miles on our dry clutches💪🏿😤
Hey Ib nice gloves ! 9:35 See they are Alpinestars…model name?
almost $300 for a fluid change that takes 10 minutes? bend over and let me know when.
650lb what drone do you have?
What caused the problem?
these bikes are what the mechanics call fragile…….thats the reason jd never own one
I had a Suzuki B-King with 60,000 miles on it, the clutch was still perfectly in spec……
High maintenance motorcycle…
The Ducati tech touching your clutch plates w greasy filthy fingers is absolutely bat shit BONKERS to me
Summary: Legality aside, that bike's engine is being fully utilized.😅
Alot don’t understand dry clutch is for peak performance.. they are aware it wears alot faster, the bikes were made for WSBK homologation anyway, cost of maintenance is not considered during the design phase, more power, better delivery is their main concern
like the HP4 race bike, engine is supposed to be re-built every 3000 miles or something like that
and if they own a V4R or HP4 , maintenance cost is not a problem for them 😂
650ib: Someone from Ohio won the July 3, 2024, Powerball Jackpot worth $139 Million Dollars. Was it you? 🤑
Thanks!
Replacement cost, is crazy
I not a fan of the dry clutch sound.
Well damn! Now I don’t think I want a dry clutch anymore 650.. 😂…
I drive past this dealership a lot. Should stop in sometime just to look around. I'll be avoiding any bike that needs a clutch inspection at 6K. That's like every 4 months tops.
No Ducati / dry clutch for me… ty 4-6000 mile clutch is insane.
id love to own a ducati they are sick, but the cost of ownership over here in the united states seems rough.
I’m not sure if REKLUSE makes clutches for Ducati.. there pretty good clutches ✌️
Sorry but thats a joke i used to abuse the clutch on my old zx6 never had one cluctch issue had done over 20 thousand miles before selling it
I never knew the lifespan of those clutches were that short! 😮
My 2008 Suzuki GSX-R 750 that I bought brand new and now has about 30,000 miles, is still on its original clutch after track schools at COTA and backroad rides in Texas and Arizona.
You could get way more than 2k miles out of that.
My man ib is about as "composed" as they come! Shout out 📢 to ib for remaining "collected" & soft spoken, during this inspection. I can't say I would have been as, "peaceful"?😆, b/c @ 2:52 , for me, THAT statement is a "red flag", moment of clarity. What do you mean, "we've seen these WAY WORSE 😳after 10 or 15k miles"?? 😖?? Why? What's the advantage of a dry clutch, then? My '09 ZX-14 had over 90K mi. on it when I sold it, and it still had ALL the factory original clutch parts in it, working tip top. And I beat on that 14 collecting souls from 3,500mi to 90K mi., shifting EVERY GEAR, up & down, b/c it didn't have a Quick Shftr. That bike is old OLD school. But I never had to chg the clutch. . . . 90k+ miles. It's no fault of the owners' riding habits [ 2:18 ]. I saw what he did there, and that's eff'd up . . . imo. Kyle is "quick shifting" the responsibility to the owner, who is ONLY riding the bike as it was designed to be ridden. Nothing more. It's a "RACE" bike, right? Don't try to "smoothly" say I brought this on myself, THEN tell me [ 4:03 ] the design is "great for racing applications" 👎🏽👎🏽. Huh? 🤷🏽♂
