  1. I am so glad everyone is copying apple and abandoning Upgradable Ram. Cuz who needs to upgrade things anyway? Just chuck it in the bin after 3 years and buy a new one. Its so much better for the environment.

  2. "This is the year windows laptops finally stop sucking."

I swear to god you say this every year. And every year, regardless of hardware upgrades, windows laptops still run windows–which is the reason windows laptops suck.

  3. @Dave2D – Thanks Dave, this was really helpful – ARM helps not only with perf/watt but also to give AMD real competition (unlike Int**). Dave – one video series idea – can you do comparison benchmarks of old gens phones also compared to new ones – like Galaxy S1,S2,S3,…S24 … at least the main ones in between like S1,S6,S12,S20,S24. And just to check the basics like how long it took an app like Google Keep / GMail / Chrome / something fundamental = to just open and load a page etc. And the navigation speed. Reason : I was using some old phone with older HW and OS, but their speed was actually quite good. So, instead of seeing at least 10% speed bump for each generation, there is only about 1% or some times -5% also. This means – there really is not use spending so much $, since most of the performance gains are on paper and camera etc.

  4. Dave is one of the youtubers I watch for years and that inspired me to start my own youtube journey!

I also want this laptop, but ain't gonna get it unless I get some subscribers first :/

  5. Dave, I need your help. I'm just one step away to make a new purchase of new devices and I have some decision-making problems 😉 I'm thinking about iPhone 15 Pro, Apple Watch and Macbook Air 13" M2/M3 16/256 or S24 Ultra, Galaxy Watch Ultra and Zenbook S16? Which set would you recommend?

  6. Increasing the single-core performance takes the most R&D and Apple is miles ahead in that, especially with the M4. Apple achieved this despite the clock speed remaining the same, by changing the architecture of the CPU.
This is something that Android and Windows-side chipmakers, who are often perceived as subpar, would never do because they don't tend to make any architectural changes at all, especially Intel.
These manufacturers only know how to add more cores and increase clock speed.
