Asus has used ceramic polymer coating before and it just fades away from the corners with time. Looks awful in a few months. Utter waste of $$$

@Dave2D – Thanks Dave, this was really helpful – ARM helps not only with perf/watt but also to give AMD real competition (unlike Int**). Dave – one video series idea – can you do comparison benchmarks of old gens phones also compared to new ones – like Galaxy S1,S2,S3,…S24 … at least the main ones in between like S1,S6,S12,S20,S24. And just to check the basics like how long it took an app like Google Keep / GMail / Chrome / something fundamental = to just open and load a page etc. And the navigation speed. Reason : I was using some old phone with older HW and OS, but their speed was actually quite good. So, instead of seeing at least 10% speed bump for each generation, there is only about 1% or some times -5% also. This means – there really is not use spending so much $, since most of the performance gains are on paper and camera etc.
Dave is one of the youtubers I watch for years and that inspired me to start my own youtube journey!

Increasing the single-core performance takes the most R&D and Apple is miles ahead in that, especially with the M4. Apple achieved this despite the clock speed remaining the same, by changing the architecture of the CPU.
This is something that Android and Windows-side chipmakers, who are often perceived as subpar, would never do because they don't tend to make any architectural changes at all, especially Intel.
These manufacturers only know how to add more cores and increase clock speed.
