Thank you so much for checking out the Deep Dive 20.5! Really happy to hear that you are enjoying it, and appreciate your feedback on the screw coloration issue. We will definitely be moving forward with the sea foam green color all around. Cheers!
Look who showed up.
I love the art work, I really do. What would hold be back would the choice of platform. My knives are for daily use and a decorated tool as opposed to a well designed is something I'd have to think about.
Always good to see you back….why this?
Love the handle….not a fan of the blade look though.
Something on my shark lock squeaks when it opens and closes. I've cleaned it and replaced the bearings. Eventually figuring out its metal on the shark lock scraping. I wonder if I can file or sand it?
For me the coating makes it look kind of cheap, certainly not $400
What do you think of those weathered thumbstuds? Does the verdigris come off as you operate it or will they last?
A fun spin on the 20.5 and another substantive review by Nick. There's only one Shabazz and I'm grateful he shares his insights making the knife scene a better place.
I always wonder if the thickness of the Cerakote causes issues with fit, finish, or action.
I havenβt noticed that the action, fit, or finish is any worse on the AD20.5s than they are on the AD20. Quite a bit less money though. What do you guys think?
The upcharge for the art bothers me less than Demko's actual pricing upcharges.
No way a base AD20.5 with Aus 10 and FRN scales is worth $150, IMO. That's Benchmade territory.
Great video Nick, thanks
For $400, it would drive me nuts that the right-handed clip setup would mean the artwork is tarnished by the colored screw issues.
Hopefully thatβs something theyβre going to fix once itβs not just a prototype.
Good to see you again Nick
What did the Squid say to the shark lock see you on the Next oneππππππππ
It is most likely a dysublimation printing process for the scales at least.
Great video Nice too Sea your still Doing video I diffently Sea why it Cost that much Sea you on the next one
Knife looks great, just to expensive !
Nick, love ya man, but i want to point out that you did your file work directly above the knife and bearings you just cleaned and lubricated. Probably got a bit of some minute shavings in there that may, or may not cause some grittiness as it works it's way in. Love the knife bud. Cheers.
Whats the wristwatch
I love the scales on this but couldn't get past the blue blade. I guess it saved me some beans but I was pretty bummed.
This review seems a little fishy.
I really hope they remove the cerakote on the mating lock surfaces.
Looks like a piece for the MET Museum
