Because after all, this channel on YouTube is criminally underrated, and deserved the same number of subscribers of that of MKBHD, for the amount of time, scripting & dedicated you have for your reviews and retrospectives. The 1:1 format on foldables makes life much easier for developers, who no longer have to worry about the correct orientation of the app in full screen

Google Home Gemini will be a subscription. LLM/Generative AI is computationally expensive and tech companies will have to find ways to monetize.

Do I get this right? He admits that AI is not actually well suited for search as it's "creative" but they stil push it in to your face constantly when searching? And advertise it as a search tool all the time?
I love your work but it took me a while to actually bother to look at this video: google hardware is just in no way relevant in sales anywhere on the planet. Even after all these years. Sadly and I see no improvements beyond the tech fan bubble.

Every year we say – we lost/reduced the crease! It ends up being misleading because you are comparing worn in device to brand new one. Use it a little, crease will come back. 😄
Man Michael, I am so glad you asked the tough questions. The angular design language is the only thing I hate about Apple products as I use them daily – and Google had a nice soft corner feel to them. It makes no sense that angular is more comfy. Great video!

I get that you can't really bite the hand that feeds in order to do anything approaching proper journalism, but this is tech hagiography and the worst type of guerilla marketing. I like your videos, but this one left a rotten taste in my mouth.
Its just cheeper for Google to produce the same screen for the Fold 2 as for the Pixel 9.

Lovely and detailed video. Your still the OG at this scene. What's most infuriating to me is watching these videos on such tech and just dying inside knowing that i feasibly cant afford these tech despite wanting a part of it. Hideously expensive for an experience whose novelty would rub off on me because i use phones as a tool and not a protected investment.
I like the part where Rick tries to explain why it is okay that Gemini and LLM is complete shit, a useless thing.

Great interviews Michael. Glad you asked about a Flip variant in the Pixel line up. Been hoping for one for years now. Maybe it is time to look at a Samsung. Although I love the Pixel software and feature experience.
I'm really looking forward to when we get rid of the camera bump.
Maybe a nitpick from me, but would it be thoughtful if they just simply call the fold as Pixel 9 Fold? So that we get Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9 Fold. Easy to remember, easy to spot.
