  1. Makes you think not only was Concord a failure in the typical sense for Sony, it’s left them with nothing to extract and market from that IP such as the characters

  2. I have friends who if they sold war harmer collection they could buy a new car. They tried so hard to get me into that hobby and I couldn't get into it but I am glad I didn't.

  3. I think Sony PlayStation needs to go back to it's roots. Offer great games and revive beloved IPs. Contract out some new old fashioned style games.

Contract new exclusive old style Resident Evil games to Capcom, new Spyro and Crash games. Try and get Konami to remake Metal Gear Solid 1 for your system with care. Make some new classic Tomb Raider games in style of the recent Remasters (should be cheap to do, assets won't be expensive). Price them competitively. Take a stab at the old idea of Star Wars Battlefront. Remake Legend of Dragoon, or make a sequel….and so on.

  4. Its not that sony needs more original game they need more good games they have been putting out the bare minimum for quite awhile now they had games that were unique but left them in the dust stuff like twisted metal ape escape killzone and probably a lot more that can be listed the core issue is that sony doesn't seem to care about these games

  5. Sony seems to want to be a brand for adults, but that's a tough thing to chase. Disney's mascot is Mickey Mouse and still remains Mickey Mouse. Nintendo's mascot is Mario and still is Mario. Maybe Sony should've kept Crash Bandicoot? L'MAO

  6. The reason i think they didn't see that Concord wasn't going to work is because these developers had hope it would. Think about it for a sec. You work on something for a few years. You pour your heart and sweat in to it so naturally you'll be optimistic about the project. When you work on something you always try to be positive and think it will work out in the end…At the end of the day. There are risk with games. Some are successful some aren't. . Sony invested into it but it didn't pay off that's just the way it is in life….Later..

  7. I honestly think the worst thing Nintendo could do for Switch 2 is charge for game upgrades.
They already face an uphill battle to get even close to the same level of system sales, during a global economic crunch, so having your existing games just look and run better is the best foothold they could get to encourage the upgrade; locking that behind a per-game paywall would be just asking to fail.

  8. I was planning on waiting for a sale on space marines but you make a good point. I’ll pick it up soon because I want to support releasing complete games full with multiplayer. That is a pretty dead feature anymore.

Also, like silent hill it has the option to have a hud free screen also. Pretty neat.

  9. You know Sony may be the only company with a long legacy of iconic original ips, only to not use any of them

Seriously Sony just (inhales), GIVE ME LITTLEBIGPLANET GIVE IT TO ME! IT COULD HAVE NO STORY I JUST WANT SACKBOY! I WANT ALL THE STUPID LEVELS THAT PEOPLE MADE! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? I WANT THE SACKMAN!!!

    ok I good now

  10. Sony doesn't have real money they just have popularity so most of their IPs they never bought that appeared as they were theirs like everything on activation like Crash Bandicoot but they don't have any way they can reach Nintendo's level in regards to history of character and being able to do what they're doing and they don't have the money or infrastructure to do what Xbox is doing they're just popular from picking up the reins from Nintendo from the 64 days and the PS1 and they've been writing that now they need to scratch their heads to figure out how to get money so they may have Kratos and you stupidly said Socom these aren't things that can widely Market they need to apply to everybody Sega has a Resurgence with Sonic they never took the time to spend the money even Microsoft made sure they had Halo and got it out of bungee's hands but they also have Gears of War but you can't Market Gears of War or Marcus Phoenix like you can Market Master Chief for example and going back to your handheld statement it's good for competition there's already handhelds with great batteries the Rog X and the steam deck OLED the others that are out there with the similar battery life it's not a big deal get a battery pack no one's playing only Triple A games but it only takes a couple minutes to supercharge them since they're mostly running at a faster wattage of charge so stock bellyaching about that stuff

  11. That is cool that there's a no-UI option for the Silent Hill 2 remake.

I hope this does well and they remake the original and the other main numbered entries.

I wouldn't be surprised if Switch games work on Switch 2 and will have an upgrade option or a Switch 2 version.

PlayStation has a huge legacy library. They need to do more with it; first party and third party. For example they can remaster the other Onimusha games, remake Legend of Dragoon, remake Bloodborne, port over God of War 2018 and Horizon Zero Dawn to PS5, remaster the classic God of War games to PS5, etc.

The Concord situation should be a slap in the face to PlayStation and a dead giveaway to not do live service games anymore; at least for the time being.

  12. A jumanji eske Minecraft movie make sense. It's a theme present in official novels for kid and they are popular. The graphics of the world being "realistic" texture wise is what doesn't do it for me. Yet my 9 years old is a fan of the game, books and everything Minecraft so I will probably have to go see it

  13. YES there will be backward compatibility, and I think several current releases will also be launch titles for the Switch 2, and Nintendo will offer free digital upgrades to anyone who buys the Switch 1 version if they buy a Switch 2 within a certain time frame.

  14. The Sony news about exclusive IP, is so ironic to the point of insanity. Let us take few steps back and remember a few points. The PlayStation was founded on a grudge. Toxic from it's conception. But with that in the back drop of our mind, what have they done with Crash? They can do what they want really, see— Nintendo stuck with their IP. Even Kirby. That's the difference and they've continued to innovate when things became flat. Imagine if during one of Nintendo's hard times they just sold all their IP. Sony reminds me of that angry bully of a brat kid and Xbox is the prostitute. Both companies can take their old IP and create— See that's the issue, you need passion, talent and innovation. When Microsoft forgets how to sale computers and Sony asks where's the IP gone, you got 2 companies that has lost their way. I say it cause I want better options. Imagine Crash in 2025 4k unreal 5. I doubt Sony has the heart for it. It's all about money right?

  15. Nintendo needs to try and rush it for holiday season. Strike while the iron is hot, if at all possible. Sellouts and running out of stock early is a good thing and is one of the things that happened with both NES and SNES. Right now, Sony and Microsoft are down for the count and the time is ripe with the recent gaming crash. If Nintendo has the ability to release by Christmas, they should, even if it's a limited run. Strike while the iron is hot. Now if it isn't possible, too bad, but if they're just trying ot build up, no need, go for it.

  16. I don't even care about Minecraft. But the one time Hollywood can finally cast a black dude to play/voice a character without looking like they're only ticking checkboxes…and they went with Jack Black.

Although, he does have 'Black' in his name. So maybe that counts?
