I put foil on the bottom of my oven that way I don’t ever have to get in there and scrub. You can always change the foil as needed. Just a lil helpful tip.
I live in a rental so deep clean every 3 months for inspection. But in our own home about the same time . I cook alot of roasts
What spray are you using? Looks so shiny ❤
For the oven I use scrub daddy power paste and a magic eraser 😊

I would suggest that you line the drawers with parchment paper to keep the fly away powder out of the cracks and make it easier to clean. You should fold the corners so it goes up the side of the drawer a little bit.

My goals batch cook some soups and cookie dough. As for cleaning I had to make myself a schedule. 1)Daily- dishes 2) Weekly- sweep&mop laundry 3) Monthly- good clean [ I break my home into 4 areas for the 4weeks in a month] example wk4 is my kitchen. I will clean dust upper cabinets and crown molding, wipe any missed spill on lower cabinets, clean ovens, microwave, refrigerator, stove, and vacuum crumbs that may have fallen into drawers. 4) Bi-Yearly – Deep cleaning. In the kitchen I'll pull refrigerator out vacuum and clean coils and vents. Clean inside cabinets.

I've been in may apartment 14 months. Gotta get on that oven.
Last year unfortuately, I was hospitalized for 5 weeks over Christmas and New Years. I was not able to be with my young family so I want it to be completely different this year.
I plan to spend this holiday season taking it all in and enjoy every.single.minute. I want to be present in every moment 🙂
I don't use my oven much…mostly stove top cooking for me and once in a while bread in oven or baking…but otherwise I would wash oven about once a year. I do have the self cleaner oven but it just doesn't need it cause of lack of use. Years ago I used to bake a lot so needed to clean about every 6 months and no self cleaning type back then. Also I love Bar Keeper's friend. Works great.
It helps to put trays inside . Easier to through a tray in dishwasher .

I crochet dish cloths with 100% cotton yarn. Not a fan of microfiber either.
You asked if there is anything else to deep clean and I would say your dishwasher, and your washing machine and dryer.
When I was younger, I would do a deep clean 2x a year. Now that I am in my 60's, I do a deep clean only when it needs it. Like I plan towards spring to do a deep clean in our main living area and kitchen, but will have a younger girl come help me. As for the oven, I now use the self cleaning cycle on our new oven as it's hard on my back to do the old fashion way of hand scrubbing. A suggestion to is to pull your stove out once a year and clean along the sides and the floor under it. I was surprised at our old house how dirty it gets in that area. Same way around the refrigerator. Pull it out and clean the sides and back!!!
Next time put a lil vinegar in your water bucket, it helps break up gunk & mold especially with baking soda or barkeeper applied first.

Bought our oven in ‘99?? I have never cleaned it like this. However if ever something spills I clean it out right away. Kudos to you! My husband may have cleaned the glass once. But I also learned from my grandmother to keep a piece of foil on the bottom of the oven.

I want to clear out a lot of things that's consumed my house. My mom retired (we live together because of her health, I take care of her) I would love to clear everything out that we don't need finish cleaning all the clothes that doesn't fit so I can get it over to Goodwill. Also we have damage that's still in need of repairs . I want to take back our home before I have to have anymore surgery.
Hey Becky, most oven doors will come off so you can get in there and clean good. I never knew that fir the longest time but they do and it makes it much easier and keeps you from injuring yourself (done that) or bending your door (I've done that too), You all are doing GREAT and I really enjoying watching your videos.
I almost got up to clean my oven- but that couch was comfy! I love the bar keepers friend, I don’t know if you used it- I didn’t hear you say- but vinegar is a good rinse agent when you use it and there is a little residue from the bar keeper. Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄
Hey Becky. I put shelving paper in my drawer it makes clean up easier. And please wash your containers out every time you put new stuff in them. Flour and sugar grow germs fast. Happy Holidays Fam. ❤
In nearly sweet 20 as newlyweb I can deep clean the house with all the windows the same day. Now nearly my 40 I deep clean one room per day. In the kitchen I sweep first, then move the refrigerator clean the floor and mop, clean the vents of refrigerator, the top of it, move the stove, clean the side, clean behind the stove, sweep the floor and mop. Clean the cabinet from top to bottom. Is very rare I clean inside the cabinet, because I clean has need is something spill. Then clean all appliances that are over my counter, clean my counter. Then clean the outside of the refrigerator and the stove. After finished all the cleaning detail do the mopping. I clean the oven after use is more easy to do maintenance.
