“Team Pandory”

The GMKtec M5 uses the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U processor. It can handle games, run emulation up to PS3, and doesn’t cost as much as you’d think! This is a GREAT choice for a mid-tier mini pc .
This Mini PC can be found both directly from GMKTek, AliExpress and from Amazon (links below).

  1. NOTE: There have been some confusion about the 199$ deal.😯
It is only available on the GMKTEC site (check link in description), and then after using the Pandory-M5 code at checkout. This is mentioned in this very video @0:58
This coupon is only on for the next two weeks, however gmktec have regular sales on both their site and amazon.
Amazon and aliexpress add their own extra fee, so don't be surprised if it's a little more expensive on those websites.

  2. @teampandory One question key for me to choose it,the front type-c can delivery power out of 12v 2A? I will use it to turn on and drive one external type-c monitor (most of type c in the market only delivery 5V 2A)

  3. I don't understand. How does a Ryzen 7 chip based computer come from China when there is currently a ban on them acquiring the latest chips? Something sounds fishy here.

Also, I have the Beelink Ser 5 5700U Ryzen mini pc myself. I find that if you are going to setup a server, mini PC's are a great option as it consume low power and saves a lot of space considering it's small form factor. Otherwise, I really don't think there is no other uses for mini pc's. For gaming I would NOT recomment mini PC's at all as any PC with a dedicated GPU will run rings around these mini PCs.

  4. You guys probably aren’t gonna respond but u have the pandora 12 blue motherboard i believe and the audio is very quiet in game, but the startup music in the jailbreak and selecting the game is loud and good. any solutions thanks in advance

  5. Hands up who saw the headline and then were bitterly disappointed when you saw the actual specs that you get for $199?

This is the second time that this has happened in recent times with one of this company's mini PC's. Put barebone in the title to be realistic and not clickbait style.

For most, this is a $300+ machine.

It does have some decent power, although shame about the lack of AV1 decoding.

  6. Had to grab one at that price. TBH I was about to grab the same BB one last night at $319 with the $100 coupon but saw your vid and used your code. Love those U chips for efficiency, hoping the I225s don't bug out. IME, locked in at 1gbps and cooled well enough they are G2G.

  7. Just got my beelink version,same specs5700u

I was playing sega outrun arcade on ps3 using a coinops build and barely got 41-45 fps & max gpu useage. I downloaded the latest version of the PS3 emulator and it runs at a solid 60fps and 60-65 percent gpu useage. Anyone using this mini pc with this chipset may want to make sure to use the latest version emulators that have better performance vs using older versions.

It clealry made a huge difference on PS3.

  8. I wonder if you could remove the Wi-Fi module in this (or the K4) and add an OCuLink connector … or is that socket too small?

Perhaps get a smaller NVME on the Wi-Fi socket, then add the OCuLink M.2 to the current drive socket?

  9. What is that 64% FUII? All I can think of is some swear words, but I doubt that's it. I guess U is perhaps for upscaling?

Cool device and indeed with the coupons it can be worth having it.

    thanks for the review.

  10. 32 / 1TB for $200 is sure nice, but usually it's worth paying $10-20 for a bump to 5800u. Like 20% more CPU performance (newer arch). Yet still the same GPU and ponies.

  11. I'd strongly recommend against using compressed air in any kind of PC, especially a mini one where you have no room to mauver. (Some cans can super cool the components to freezing, causing moisture and ultimately shorting if switched on with any of the mobo being wet).

  12. Great review! Considering this as an option for a little home server. Is this a good option? I can see the BIOS has options for 10-15w TDP. Compared to the NucBox G3 (N100), the price and power on this one is tempting.
