  1. Hiya, Mike!

I am currently re-reading the first two books of Stephen Graham Jones's Indian Lake trilogy (about to finish Don't Fear the Reaper again) in preparation for the final book. I'm also reading King's new collection You Like it Darker (I'm in exactly the same place you are, right after …Bad Dream). Loved that chilling "deadlights" quote from Two Talented Bastids. Reading on Kindle and loving it. Next will probably be None of You Shall Be Spared by Brian Evenson and The Massacre at Yellow Hill by C.S. Humble.

Although I don't love that you've been struggling, I did love hearing the talk about depression and what helps you. Hearing about what other people deal with and what helps them helps me! Thanks and I hope things start feeling better soon.

I've been a little intimidated when hearing about Cisco's work. I have Secret Hours but haven't read it yet. I think I'm worried I won't get it. I won't stay scared forever, though.

  2. Hi Mike. I just finished the first Charlie Parker novel and it was a decent read, not great, like you said. I’ve started the second and it’s definitely a step so far. Thanks for recommending!

  3. Mike, I completely forgot to bring up what I know about resetting the "Vagus Nerve" and how that may assist with depression.

For example, laughing as you stated can work very well, as well as, humming/chanting, cold showers, stretching the body (like yoga), and spending time in nature.

There are books on this subject that delve deeper over on Amazon.

As always, appreciate your podcasts. Stay strong my friend!
