At this point, people who keep saying things like Tiana's Bayou Adventure is better than Splash Mountain ever was and that time will forget Splash Mountain are simply living in denial.
Demolish the existing Disneyland parking structures? What are you even talking about?
They should replace with Lion King flume ride that would be better.
Imagine spending all that money to transition a ride because a couple of people were upset by it.

I sadly rode Tiana’s boring adventure twice and I sung the splash mountain music out loud the second time

Its a mess. I mean having Tiana as the only princess who works is racist. Her outfits are racist. Black Americans at that time of a LA salt mine would be slaves. So they took something not racist made it racist and now it's failing. I'm so sick of whoever is making these dumb decisions with no culture training.
I'm sure Disney is regretting their decision to kowtow to those 10 angry Twitter users right about now.
Only pathetic Disney Adults love this ride. Disney Adults love and consume ANYTHING Disney comes out with regardless of quality. People think Anime nerds are pathetic, but Diseny Adults are much MUCH worse.
Then Disney decides to tell people all these wild things they are going to be doing in the future, basically they are hoping people will be fixated on future projects but Disney has a bad habit of promising things they never follow through on. Disney;;
people are not that dumb, you can tell them all kinds of wild things you have in your head but we have seen time & again you don’t follow through or even start things promised. The few things they do ever start are never what they have promised & it takes years for one measly ride (that then breaks down constantly) by the time they open people have forgotten about the movie it is based on (Tron) and it was never a big big hit to begin with.
Disney’s vision is not what Walt ever wanted or planned. It does my heart good to see them fail after they turned their backs on people that made them great and went woke. Most families don’t identify with a big dude with a beard & mustache wearing a princess dress & crown helping your young daughter in their Bibide Bobidi Boop store. Sorry spelling is wrong but you know where I mean. Most parents have warned their young children about people like this and not encouraged interaction with them & your children.
I just got back from disney world a day ago….quick recap… yes this ride sucks…the animatronic from Navi river journey is gone…Kyle Ren in rose of the resistance doesn't work… hes just standing behind the fall piece of debris…they changed the ending to a screen of kylo in his tie fighter….probe Droid at the beginning doesn't move its just static… yet the animatronics on its a small world are still going strong….
Disney World had bigger priorities to focus on instead of destroying Splash Mountain and re-theming it. Now it’s become such a challenge to run that they still can’t focus on other priorities. (Like adding capacity/ attractions to DHS and DAK. Fixing dead space like Animation Courtyard and Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama.)

I’m a big fan of The Princess and the Frog and I love Tiana’s story. I’m so disappointed that Disney couldn’t get their stuff together to make a good ride
I’m an industrial network engineer. I design networks for industrial automation processes and operation technology environments. Ride systems are OT systems. When they designed Rise of the Resistance I could immediately predict the issues they would have and my wife was like wow you were right which validated me and hurt my feelings. Tiana I could see issues coming from an automation perspective
They need to literally piece by piece but splash mountain back together, publicly apologize, and fire the executives responsible as well as their DEI team. Then maybe their curse will be lifted and people will trust them again

I'm a professional Blacksmith. I get orders for things that are used by the public. So there's a certain amount of engineering involved with what I create. With that in mind. My motto is, Overkill is underrated.
What is broken on the WDW version? I just ride it, and than the crappy re-theming, the ride seemed to be working just fine.
Splash Mountain will never come back, because that would be admitting they were wrong.

Just got home from Disney world today. My brother and I and this exact conversation. The Kylo animatronic was down, as was the one in navi river journey both replaced with screens. While all the classic rides with older animatronics were working flawlessly after what 30 40 years?
I think the reason its not turning into standby is because, they know they have to close it again to rework the ride. Not only the themeing but the technology isnt flowing. Its legit done.
So there are not going to end the virtual queue till its all good to go.
At this point. Cancel Indiana Jones. Save that money to fix the mountain

It's getting to the point it would be cheaper to scrap the animatronics and replace them with cast members in costume inside the ride.

I liked the "Princess and the Frog" movie a lot, the setting, the music, it is (imho) underrated.
And I'm sorry for the people that put a lot of work into this attraction, not the managers, screw those guys.

I wonder how much it would cost to simply change it back to Splash Mountain and scrap this insanity? Just get the message that this was a terrible idea.
These are the same ones, Disney DEI hires, who were pushing Tokyo Disney to change their Splash to TBA. Thankfully they rejected the idea and completely ignored them. Glad someone still loves Walt's Disneyland!
