  1. 38:13 love that he name dropped DP. I grew up in South Carolina in the early and mid 2000s and would play LR David Patten’s alma mater annually. So I got to meet DP a lot and he was around in his off-season too, Great player and even better person DP is. Got to see and experience first hand his work ethic. DP spirit is just high and so welcoming. Open up his yard and house to us neighborhood kids for pickup hoops and etc; just friendly as can be for the celebrity he is. Also though when it was time to train, it was like alright y’all can get on this but respect the grind we here to work let’s get it. Still unreal that he’s not with us anymore… it was nice to hear the Goat bring up his name as guys he tried to model cause DP really is outstanding

  2. Ryan, I have to say something to you personally. I started watching your show at the end of your career on ESPN. And I felt what you were dealing with waiting for and if a contract was coming through from “the suits” at ESPN. When it didn’t come through the last day I saw you, I really, really knew how you felt… I said to myself “this is going to be the best day of Ryan Clark’s life”. And I meant it. Even tho’ I’m not famous, I was in a career, working for a designer, that was amazing experience. Once corporate gets involved it can be heart wrenching sometimes. So I don’t know the other gentlemen your with on this podcast, but I’ve seen you guys together on other talk videos. And I like the comraderie.
I do know Tom Brady. As a generational New York Jet fan (my dad and bros loved Joe Willie), we were on the 50 yd line field seats the day Bledsoe went down and Tom Brady arrived. Oh boy… my bros were in pissed beyond belief. We went from leading the patriots by a lot… to being crushed. And haven’t recovered since ‘69.
I’ve gotten into Pat mcAfee’s show and now I plan to watch you guys when you’re on. I like the vibe. And I know that you now know that day was the best in your life. ESPN is dead unless they overhaul what they do….

  3. As a parent of a 4 year old , I got some great lessons from this episode. Being a parent is everything. It’s like my life doesn’t matter anymore , it’s all about him .

  4. Dope interview. I think the biggest takeaway for me was when TB said you can't play long if you're not a good teammate. I've never heard another player bash him as anything else.

  5. Tom Brady is the perfect example of why having both parents in the home and creating a solid foundation for your children is the most important job you can have in life!!

  6. Gonna be tough to beat this “Pivot”, next up Barack Obama, make it happen. When a great leaders leave their highest position, they become missed, now, we as fans, have something to watch, listen and to learn from. Being a Raider fan I hated Tom Brady, that “Tuck Rule” still pisses me off to this day, now because of “The Pivot”, showing the other side of the “G.O.A.T.” Tom Brady, gives me the opportunity to tip my hat to him, his success and accomplishments. Just sayin, Go Raiders!!!
