  1. My understanding of why Loki was powerful enough to take on the timelines was, to quote Victor Timely, “a scaling problem”…
He Who Remains gave Loki the Time Slipping, probably because he took the throne grime Loki in the past, but that’s irrelevant.
Loki’s Time Slipping was evolving throughout the show. From slipping in time, to slipping in time AND space, to slipping back to his own consciousness at any time, to pausing time… and I think it’s implied that his time manipulation was evolving as time passed.
So, the “Centuries Later” bit was played off as him learning science, but really it was evolving his time manipulation.
But to be clear, his plan wasn’t to replace the Loom, it was to destroy it. Give the MCU to fight the Kangs and save the multiverse… but when he did that and the branches started dying in front of him, you can see his surprise when touching it with his magic warranted a reaction. So, he looks back at his friends, Silvie especially, as he makes the decision to respark the timelines and look over them.
It was at that moment that he took the step that he realized he was always destined to be there.
I think if you rewatch the season, you will see that his time slipping power was set up to evolve which, after centuries of, made him powerful enough to manipulate entire timelines.

  2. I firmly believe that One Piece is the greatest story ever written. If you're not interested in watching the series, John, maybe you might wanna try reading the comic books.

  3. 30:20 hi john, Kamen Rider Geats is a Japanese superhero show, the premise is that there's a competition where the winner could reshape the world to his or her liking. The main hero Ukiyo Ace inherited his mother's power and became the god of creation. It's honestly one of my favourite show of the past few years, kamen rider or other wise. P.S. Its prounced Car-men rider, Kamen means Mask in Japanese

  4. Been watching Everything y’all have put out for 2yrs, I’m on the treadmill and I hear John say Timothy is a better actor than Gosling, I look down and for the first time out loud I protest No He’s Not to John as if he can hear me

  5. multivers might be used in a lazy way… but movie makers (especially MCU) are ignoring the best part about multivers, having diferent "variants" interacting with each other… They breathly did it in no way home… And that was fun. And they never show the downsides of one character leaving their univers. So i think it was just a missed oportinuty by MCU, they really messed up

  6. Multiverses have been used in comics for years , DC Marvel and Invincible all have. It’s like a staple in certain comic storytelling , just because you arnt enjoying the multiverse doesn’t mean no one else is. I’m hoping we get at least 3 more years of multiversal storytelling in animation or cinema. The possibilities are endless in terms of what they can do with that concept.

  7. I'm going to disagree a little with John. We knew Ant Man 2 was taking place before Infinity War, even though it came out after, so it wasn't something we had to see it for End Game, although it turned out more important as if you didn't see the end credit, you wouldn't know how Scott got stuck. Captain Mavel was the end credit for Infinity War, giving the idea that we had to see this because Captain Marvel was going to be important in End Game.

  8. I think multiverse like any other tool used in storytelling all depends on how it's used. I think the multiverse aspect dramatically increases the potential for a project but at the same time could be poorly executed or simply just lazy like you say

  9. Didn't Kang say he gave Loki the power to time slip in the finale? So, Loki had time powers from the beginning of the season. His season arc was learning to use it, in addition to his emotional arc.
Kang is such a schemer that I wouldn't be surprised if this will be revealed to be part of his plan. They literally did exactly that in both season finales. Unless Marvel cancel their Kang plans.

  10. Bro who said nobody cares about Dune, you opened a can of worms you REALLY should have left closed. The Dune fan base is small but mighty, and we’re ALL going insane waiting! 😭 Tomorrow we hit four months till the new release date, and believe me, we’ll come in droves! 💪🏻⚔️
