  1. You missed one: Standard Operating Procedure
It's absolutely not an easy pleasant watch, but very important and illuminating.
Probably ought be required viewing for all US Citizens – at least short of having a valid medical exemption.
Damn glad I watched it, but wouldn't want to watch it a second time.

  2. Won’t You Be My Neighbor made me understand why Mr Rogers is such a big name in the States (I’ve shocked more than one American by saying I never watched him as a kid, he wasn’t shown here).

  3. #21 "All the Beauty and the Blood" – the Sackler story inspired S1E1 of Leverage Redemption. In that it's the fictional Maxwell family that made money off opioids (and the deaths caused by them) and had their contributions removed from a museum.

  4. Before I continue, free to disagree with me.

The documentary “Surviving 9/11” really got me and dove straight into the events of that day and family members of deceased were interviewed or people who witnessed it. It got me from beginning to end. I think it could be list worthy

  5. As an Apollo nerd I loved “Apollo 11”. I tried to get my 3 grandkids who were aged 6-10 at the time to watch it with me and to get them to understand what an amazing accomplishment the moon landing was. Needless to say they weren’t impressed. Maybe when they get a bit older they’ll get it.

  6. I felt that the entire series was great, because the story was never about futurism or Sci-Fi, in the strictness sense. It was about the robots becoming Gods, and establishing a new pantheon.
    .
It was one of the most intelligent tv series ever made. It has more in common with The Three Body Problem than the way we perceive Jurassic Park.
    .
The intellectualism of Westworld is the closest that anyone has gotten to what Michael Crichton wrote about, in regards to the future and perception of our reality

  7. FFS, stop trying to make Nalvany into a cult hero. He's a fringe politician with less than 2% support. Also, stay TF out of politics, it's a terrible look. Calling Putin corrupt while the US is currently supporting a genocide is pathetic.

  8. I grew up in the same town as Roger Ebert, and there is a film festival there every year in his name.

It’s the same town that brought the world George Will, Alison Krauss, Paul Debevec, REO Speedwagon, Bonnie Blair and the band Champaign.

It’s amazing how unassuming Champaign-Urbana, Illinois is, but I will say it was an amazing place to grow up.

  9. I don’t remember the title but I saw a documentary on a guy in the NFL who was diagnosed with ALS.
He was a new father and was making videoes so his son could see who his father was.
Not only was it difficult to see his body deteriorate but his wife was clearly pulling away from him and starting a relationship with his nurse. That must have been very painful for him to experience.

  10. Summer of Soul is beautiful.
Boys State is concerning to say the least.
    Citizen Four is downright terrifying.
    Free Solo is stunning.
One that is probably missing here is Beyond Utopia, had me on the edge of my seat the whole time…
