Don't just beat it with hammer and chisel. Beat it hundreds of times in seconds.
Had this problem twice due to broken disc. Had to use thin knife to slowly break that jammed disc leftover bit by bit 😂

Omg awesome. On my large grinder ended up going to a body shop and cutting the disk off madness. Wish I had seen this before. Thanks . Now I swapped all my lock nuts for the ratcheting quick release ones
If only they made some sort of special wrench that could take the nut off
Used to have this problem a lot while repairing bigger grinders. Decided i had enough one day and welded 2 small bolts into another nut and welded on a 1/4" hex shank so i could use it in an impact driver. Never failed me
Can also use some water pump pliers
All my yrs repairing grinders i never understood why ppl crank down on those like that.

This is my favorite dewalt grinder, I’ve had all the other ones new but nothing beats one of these for me. I gave my old one to a hood friend and was sad til I found a brand new in box one for cheap! Throw the new brushless one in a bin to sell. Good riddance!

Actually it’s far easier just to squeeze the nut tight in a vice and just grip the grinder body and pull. Will work every time
Outstanding! I had this problem two days ago. I ended up locking the nut in a vice and turning the tool. It worked but felt like I was going to break it.
That is indeed a “top tip”!! I use a grinder similar to that almost everyday and have endured that same issue… now i have the secret!!! Thank you
