  1. Great news about the RTR possibilities of Nikon productsI! just paid around 650 dollars for a replacement of the extension tube of the Z24-70 f2.8 that developed a hair line crack! I had made up my mind that I would never ever send it in again if it happens again plus that I would never buy another lens that extends(it was my first)!

  2. Great discussion guys – love Ted and Jordans interplay. Bit disingenuous to compare a Nikon F3 or F5 to the Pentax 17. I get it, we all want the 17 to sell well for what it forbodes, but the shtick is a bit thick guys. we know your all going to go "oh yeah the 17 was way overpriced" in 6months time. and Jaron, 500USD gest you a mint F5 with lens from japan every day of the week. When anyone starts about the "only 24MP" banter I think "Oh, OK you're a spec boi, not an actual photographer". There are very few real dogs in todays mirrorless cameras.

  3. 500 bucks is totally fine. It’s not more than it would have cost in the 90s. Looking at digital APS-C point and shoots they’re all around $1000 and that’s because a sensor is the most expensive part of any digital camera. Take the sensor away and you’ll probably end up with a $500 camera.

  4. Adobe has become very greedy. I have tried to cancel and when I saw the cancellation fee I kept it. I haven’t used it in few months and I still keep paying for it. For you professionals it’s not a lot for people like me using it for recreational purposes seems Like we are locked in.

  5. 16:30 I think it's awesome that Nikon has started releasing detailed repair documents! Might not be super useful to a lot of people especially right now, but many years down the line it could be valuable. They should retroactively release information on their entire Nikon 1 system…

  6. I cancelled the adobe subscription while ago and the subscription process with the cancellation fee are the reason I will never become they customer again. On1 easily replaces lightroom and photoshop for my needs and I could buy the latest On1 for 59€ – no subscriptions.

  7. The Wide 400 is trash. Cant believe we waited 10 years for a dumbed down version of the last camera. The 15 year old Wide 210 is a superior camera to the 400. This should have been a Wide version of the Mini 99, Fuji should be ashamed. The Pentax is a $500 plastic, half frame point and shoot which is absurd. Two huge misses, film lovers are not thrilled.

  8. Right now I'm waiting and paying for my Adobe subscription that I do not use, because Lightroom just isn't for me anymore, and I cant just cancel or they will bill me the remaining of the contract. I wouldn't say it's difficult to do, but it adds insult to injury that their software offers the bare minimum and I can't opt out.

  9. I disagree with the panel about the Fringer adapter. Yes, it is slightly slower, but the one I have works just fine. I have a setup which is really like a Frankenstein's monster, but it works. I have a Sigma 150 to 600 Contemporary EF lens (yes a DSLR lens). This I normally use with Canon R7 through Canon EF to RF adapter. But, the actual monstrous setup is Nikon Z50, Fringer EF to Z adapter, and Sigma 150 to 600 I mentioned earlier. AF works just fine, slightly slower. My review of this adapter on Amazon has a few pictures I took with it.

  10. I just bought a Pentax 17 – just waiting for it to show up. You are missing the point here – this is the first real non-junk film camera in more than a decade. If if goes well we could see a full frame in the future. I'd love a new edition of something like the MZ-S or MZ-3 that has the same mount as those lenses. Or perhaps a body that can handle film or digital or a medium format like a 645N. Pentax does strange things so lots of things are possible.

  11. Adobe… and "terms are industry standard" is so much a bullsh!t excuse because they could have just been clear and upfront from the start – they chose to be as vague as possible so you wouldn't be able to notice when they crossed the line they deliberately made as hard to see as possible.
The terms have slowly been changing under the hood for years, update by update, but this pop-up is what made people look, and they were like, wait, WTF!

  12. Hey all! QQ, I have YouTube Premium and Amazon Music Unlimited/Prime (RIP Google Podcasts). For the podcast, do you all get more value from one? Like, from a monetary standpoint?
