Center seconds pinion cock screw too tight, marred screw. Tighten approximately the width of screw slot once screw stops with no pressure. Nice watch. Even the crown goes all the way down, a lot of them don't.
Navigators had a table and illumination. Hacking enabled the watch to be used as a deck watch synching to a master clock. Used in aircraft and on ships. The officer of the day would synch the second to the master chronometer, then walk around the ship ensuring all clocks were synched.
Blame the government if you really think about it. Allowing swiss to flood the American market with tariff increase requests being denied and Hamilton being forced to make watches for the war. lol
