Here is an unintended issue from the safety settings. I was at a wedding and a song was playing all of a sudden my pixel 2 watch vibrates I look down and it is doing a countdown timer to call 911, WTF. I turned that off fast as I could.
I'm never buying a watch that gets less than 7 days of real world battery life.
My pebble 2 HR had this solved almost a decade ago.
Now we have crap watches that cant be used with wet hands, can't be used in broad daylight, can't use the always on display without tanking battery life, and can't be used for sleep tracking because they need to be charged once a day AT LEAST.
The withings/nokia Steel HR is the only smart watch I like and it doesn't do half the things as well as my now dead pebble, but at lease I only have to charge it for an hour once a month.
Looks like Google has all thin people with small wrist.
I wouldn't have paid $350 for this on my own, but getting it for free with the 8 Pro was a nice bonus. I hated the pin charger at first because you do have to align it, but it charges FAST. Coming from a Galaxy Watch5 I think this is a much much nicer looking watch but the OS needs some work. Not bad for a gen 2 though. They need to make some leaps to justify the price tag though, imo.
I have the 1st gen and it's surreal for me that in the UK the LTE version doesn't work with all the networks. I'm with O2 (one of the biggest players) and it's not compatible 😬

The first gen Pixel watch make a pretty good 24 hour attempt with always on display with a more efficient face. I paid for Pixel Minimal Watch Face and it's been worth it
They made the changing experience worse… woho progress
I am annoyed that I have to pay to use the safety features. I am older and wanted the fall detection feature. Do I need to switch to an IPhone and Apple Watch? Thanks!

I'm still having to wait for my watch to be delivered. So disappointed. But I'm super excited. This will be my first smart watch.
Why am I wasting almost 13 minutes of my time watching someone read the specs of a product on his computer when I can do that myself??????
