  1. I really love your appreciation for the raw emotions and intensity. Pudgey especially, but spartan also felt it harder than he normally does. You guys are great. I am very excited about 5×14. We all are.

  2. This is my favorite ending of any Breaking Bad episode. Just pure chaos and payoffs of multiple storylines. Breaking Bad, to me, is a bit of a dark comedy and this ending gets me cackling every time. The situation is so horribly unlucky and unfortunate for Walt, it's funny. Everything came together in the worst way possible. Gus has Walt "in check" and he needs to escape.

  3. Gus was going to kill his entire family because Walt decided to save hank by putting the call to the DEA. The way its written it does feel a bit weird (the warning call to the DEA feels just like a bonus but actually its the whole reason for Walt to decide to disappear).

  4. I truly hope you guys follow this up with Better Call Saul. I binged the first 5 seasons and literally 2 days later AMC re-released the entire 6th, and final season again so I finished up about 3 months after the show did.

  5. From a business point of view, Jesse is a far better employee in the sense that he is obedient and sensitive to direction. You can influence Jesse. The terms of business with Walter were complicated. He felt ownership over the product, and would die for the pride he has for it. Jesse wants something far more easy and human to offer — understanding, patience and community. I think that's why Gus said he sees loyalty in Jesse, but he thought it was for the wrong guy in Walter. He pulled a Judo move and gave Jesse investment in the operation — and when you are actually invested in something, you care. Jesse knows after a point that Mike and Gus are actually, albeit awkwardly, trying to negotiate and bring him into the fold, and Gus is enough of a businessman to understand when to put personal assumptions (never work with a junkie — never trust an addict) aside in light of the evidence of Jesse's real character and loyalty. He tried saving one of the crew member's lives — mike — just a few episodes after feeling certain Mike was going to execute him. That kind of absent care on whether you live or die — I think they even suspected the mental health aspect. The doctor in the tent had everything else about Jesse found out, so maybe they had a consultation with a mental health professional on the side to see what was wrong with Jesse and how to get him out of the hole he was in.

If you view it from a coaching point of view, it's genius and having a great impact on Jesse's life, but also Andrea and Brock who now have more security. That's like…dozens of potential lives made better because of treating Jesse like an equal — treating Jesse like an actual partner.

  6. This episode shows how fast everything can break down when youre into high level crime. One mistake and its a death sentence or a life sentence and it can come any day at any time.

  7. Pudgey looks Native American (American Indian for non-pc). Seriously, your dark straight hair and features. You could easily be part Cherokee Indian. We would look like brother and sister, if we were in the same room.

  8. Huell has to be one of the funniest characters in this show. He’s actually a stand up comedian named LAVELL CRAWFORD. You two should really check out some of his standup, it’s pretty hilarious.

  9. I honestly blame Skylar for this one big time, she should have told Walter about the IRS issue she was locked into. Why on earth would you give away $600K+ without even a conversation with Walt, especially considering it was her idea to have no more secrets. Like ffs communication is king.

  10. Funny how you keep calling the guy that was killed Gus’ brother… He was Gus’ boyfriend. They were in a relationship and that’s why he was so upset when he was killed.

  11. So I’m by no means a Walt defender but for Walt, he’s 100% valid in reacting that way to Gus’s threat. Thinking that Gus will just allow him to walk away is naive. If Gus kills Hank, Walt’s family will ALWAYS be in danger. Sure, Walt made a lot of dumb mistakes that forced Gus to put his crosshairs on him but in this particular situation, Walt’s reaction is perfectly understandable.
