We somehow convinced Lumafield we can be trusted with a CT scanner.. and holy heck this has to be one of the coolest things we’ve ever seen!
Check out Lumafield:

that mouse is gay
where were you when I was in medical school you'd have been a way better tutor than my University lmao
ok this is cool
Louis X Rays
Linus should shave
You should scan nixie tubes and an assortment of unique vacuum tubes.
Welp that seals it! I was just considering whether to buy this or an MRI machine but this review has convinced me being able to see inside of electronics is way more fun than seeing inside gross fleshy matter. Ordering one now!
as a radiographer i approve
I want to know how much power that thing sucks back
Scan Guns..
China probably bought this company after this video 😂
Linus: we can xray gadgerts we review now.
Also Linus: we lent this device.
Can you use it to see how well Linus applied the heatsink compound?
This video is so weird for me. 😂 I'm someone who's been in the industrial x-ray and CT non-destructive testing field for over 15 years. It's accurate, sure. But it feels like a Mr. Rogers' presentation of relatively basic concepts. I knew i should have submitted my resume last year. Dang 🙂
I've studied biomedical engineering and we had something similar a bit larger called Zeiss Metrotom, costs about 1M euro at the time we used it for our bakalar and master thesis but also outside companies like automotive and other industries were sending some pieces to scan it (for a price of course) those machines are super awesome and useful can find a lot of issues before going to mass production
This is just so cool. Can you scan a hotpocket?
I'm curious why LTT has never done anything with the LHC or another similar collider. That technology would be really interesting to hear about.
>>zais lenses
ahahhahah
2:06 I would like to mention at the end of the Radiation Type Wavelength chart we see the shortest wave lengths… Gramma rays
Scanning different shoes would be interesting, like seeing the layers of a berkinstock or a tennis shoe. Maybe inside different price levels of monitors and laptops? Also batteries since you can't deconstruct those without risk
😂
Should def buy a sealed iPhone 3G and verify it is actually sealed with this.
You need to do some CPUs (would recommend to remove the IHS)
I was like "Whaat, there is no way Apple is as cool as dbrand and they have tiny messages inside", and I was right. Got segweyed
In other words, Linus and his group are now going to be solving for at least addressing the medical epidemic in Canada by offering free CT scans when you’re injured. It’s important to not though however, if they are in the middle of a scan of some sort of technological device just for shits and giggles. You’ll have to get online and wait. Cheers eh…
Can't wait to see a bunch of videos with the lab. Feel like I've been waiting forever to see all those crazy breakdowns.
Can it see how well the thermal paste is applied after the heatsink is on? THAT'S THE ONLY THING WE WANT TO SEE
To the comment about destroying mice to see inside… I replaced the switches for left and right click on both mine and my fiance's mouse because Logitech decided to buy Chinese rip-off Omron switches instead of the Japan quality ones. Got 2 months of use out of the mouse pre-change. This was years ago now; same mouse in use today. Turns out when you put switches in that are rated for 3 million clicks they actually last; shocker.
please scan different plugs and sockets (ethernet, hdmi, display, usb 2 and usb c) This would be really interesting to me. Especially understanding what the good wires do that the bad ones don't
Can you irradiate food with it?
it will be nice for fossil rocks
Sure !
Another product that becomes useless the second your router goes bust.
This makes chinese counterfeits … (fill the blank)
I need this for research purposes
I wonder if this can be used for 3D printing
All the turbo nerds check out Real Engineering’s video on airport security scanners from this week! Happened to see it before this one, makes this one even cooler.
Please disassemble that machine and show what's in there
I'm sorry… a $69.99 screwdriver? You are taking the piss..
I build these ! Crazy to see you do a review on it. I watched you when I built my first PC so kinda surreal to see you do a review on something I put together haha.
I am pretty sure considering the edge sharpness the best quality is closest to the receptor.
Day 3 of asking for a free Intel and nvidia white gaming pc 😬
