For anyone doing this at home, water temperature is HUGELY important to a successful hydrodrip, whether using paint or hydro dip film, ALWAYS use correct water temperatures ๐

12:10 the color of the object's surface is a good part of the final result, since the hubcap wuss white-light-gray, the dip film not being a solid(vinil like) color/pattern, one could compare the hydrodip as layers in Photoshop, the helmet wus dark-greyish, you had a dark pattern dip, baddabing Baddaboom, u haz that. q=D cheerios chum

I remember doing this to a wood project when I was a kid. Basically you float oil based paint on water and dip the piece in it for a cool effect. It was a lot of fun.

Iv hydro-dipped the slide on my 22LR pistol with white-tan-black spray paint and it turned out pretty good, the imperfections added to the look in my case.
